Great outdoor camera. Thank you Nest for finally coming out with an outdoor version. I have 1 outdoor and 4 indoor Nestcams and they are great. Video quality is excellent as well as the audio. Now that Nest automatically includes 3 hours of NestAware, it's even better. They recently updated their app so that you can make clips straight from the app. Thanks Nest!

I have the inside next camera, so we decided to get this outside camera! It’s worth it! I love having my camera image right at my phone.

We got our first one with the Nest Home Security system. This was just an additional camera we wanted. It maintains a connection very well despite being outside the house. Video quality and motion detection is solid as well. Definitely recommend if you want an outdoor camera for security.

Works great untill the free trial of award runs out. After that it goes to basic mode. It seems now we are getting more random notifications.. aware is $10 a month per camera

This is a great super clear HD weatherproof camera. I love the talk function so I can talk to the people outside my door. It said it's not recommended for temperatures below a certain degree so I was a little concerned living in the cold snow filled Northeast but it has held up to my 0 degree temps so far! The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 star rating was the fact they charge a monthly fee to view your past recorded video.

I purchased 2 Nest Outdoor cameras a surveillance cameras for the inside of my home (white housing matched my interior better than the black camera housing). With the 10 day streaming subscription, I don't need to purchase a traditional home security service. I also have this linked with my Kwikset deadbolt so the cameras come on automatically when I leave my home.

I read tons of reviews on every camera system I could find before I purchased this setup. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. We've been using this system for about a month and a half now with no issues. The install and setup was relatively easy, but I did have an electrician come out and install a plug in my attic, so I could hide all of the wiring. This also will keep anyone from being able to unplug the cameras. The down side to this was having to drill a 7/8" hole under the eaves of my house, but I was able to make a very nice plug for the hole with a 7/8 dowel with a notch for the wire, which totally sealed up the hole. We really like the app, the ability to view from our phones, and the ability to customize our settings and notifications with the Nest Aware subscription ($150 a year for 2 cameras).

If you are paranoid about people stealing your rake, plant, tomato garden, ceramic pot, shoes or snow shovel like I am... well this is the right camera for you. It will capture that person as they try to use your garden gloves...and who wants to share garden gloves? Protect yourself folks and this camera can help. Big time.

if you have the indoor nest cam, you should add an outdoor one. Yes its a paid service but my wife and I appreciate the peace of mind. It has a great image, could use a bit more IR light tho. Alerts work very well, I setup a zone in my driveway and yard. so passing cars would not trigger an alert. At night tho the headlights reflect in yard do create an alert.
