I bought the two pack because it's a better deal for each camera than to buy them individually. I had to pay someone to mount them because they were mounted to brick. I would say the installation was very difficult because the power cord has the usb adaptor attached to it and so you have to drill a one inch hole through your siding, which in my case was brick. I don't know why they couldn't make that piece detachable so i could have drilled a much smaller hole and i could have installed it myself. The quality of the videos are amazing and i get quick alerts when it senses motions. I love the fact that when I get the alert on my phone it shows me a quick 3 shot burst so I can quickly see if it's a real issue or just my cat. The IR mode is very clear and I can make out a face on the camera. I know a lot of people complain about paying for cloud space. No I don't like that either and I think they should offer a 24 hour recording for free. I don't need 10 days worth of recording let alone 30 days but I told everyone who questioned me paying for the service that I just paid 100.00 for two of my kids to play video games online for a year, I think I can pay 150.00 to protect my house. I love that I can see what's going on outside my house when I'm not there. I hope to buy some indoor cameras soon. I won't be buying the storage space for those but again, it would be nice if they offered 24 hours for free. If they did that, I would already have bought multiple indoor cameras. In the mean time, I'll just wait. I would definitely recommend these cameras to anyone who's looking for good quality outdoor cameras.

As long as you have good wifi, this item will give you top notch image/video quality. Can view from anywhere with the nest app. The reason didn't give it 5 stars was because if you want to be able to have more than 3hrs of recording storage you have to pay $9.99 a month to get 10 days. The camera is one of the more expensive ones out there, so kind of a bummer to pay that monthly fee (though it does offer a couple of features with that service). Other than the monthly fee, great quality camera so far.

This camera is very easy to set up with the Nest app. The notifications are helpful in which they give either "person" or "motion" in the titles. The video quality is very clear and has a wide range of view.

Easy to install. Very clear and sharp picture. Notifications from Nest camera are immediate and clear. This is a great camera. Much better than brand tried previously.

I've been using the NEST outdoor camera for about 3 weeks now and Love it. I replaced a Ring Stick Up camera with this. The purpose of these types of cameras is to record what's going and alert you that something is going on. The Ring only worked 50% of the time, but the NEST camera has been awesome. I knew what I was getting into since it's not wireless and needs a power connection at all times, and that's ok. Getting video recording at 1080p 24/7 is worth it. I have it above my front door and was able to simply route the power cable inside the door jam, around the frame and plug it in using the inside outlet in our entryway. The video quality is great at 1080p, and lets you reduce resolution if you need to, or just set the camera to Auto and let it decide the best resolution for your wifi network performance. I did have a quick bit of trouble with drops and disconnects, but after doing some research, I found that my NetGear Orbit system has some settings that the NEST camera did not play well with. NetGear is working on a firmware update to remedy this, and just by changing one setting on the Orbi, the NEST camera has not dropped since. I get immediate alerts when the camera senses something in one of my configured zones, and I love how you can draw your own zones of importance in the cameras field of view. The desktop experience and phone experience are amazing, and seeing everything on a timeline of events, since it records 24/7, is a great tool to have. I can't recommend this camera enough. I only gave it 4 stars because the audio could be improved. The audio recording can be softer than I'd like, and the push to talk when someone is in front of the camera is a bit clunky, with a slight delay that becomes confusing if you're having longer than a one sentence conversation. All in all though, between Ring, the Arlo/Arlo Pro, Canary and the NEST, I'd go NEST all day long!

This camera is great for added security, image quality is really good easy to set up, and tells you when someone is walking by.. have some issues when you are connected to a different wifi on your phone (friend's house wifi) so I just don't connect and use my phone wireless data.. but when I'm home it has no problem with my wifi... Overall a great buy and worth the peace of mind.

I have had these cams for about 6 months now and love them and the features offered. The streaming quality of the footage is clear and crisp even in night vision mode.. the monthly fee for saved days of recording of 24/7 recording is not expensive by any means. You can set up area perimeters to receive push notifications and/or emails if motion is sensed and thus alerts you. Has smart technology to sense is person motions within set area and alerts you person is in whatever you decide to name set zone area.. The audio is excellent and clear, you can use two way audio as cameras have speakers built into them and it is loud in sound if you choose to speak to someone through the option. Audio notifications will state is sound is heard and you can select under settings options if you want barking alerts, other sound alerts, etc. The range of the cameras which they can zoom into on laptop or computer and even in the Nest app on cell phone. I actually have three, purchased this set as well as a single extra one. I have them stream on my Google Home device which is easy to set that up to have as you just log into account through Google Home app.

Very easy to set up. Very nice image. The cost of buying cloud storage can get a little expensive. I have 2 cameras and pay $150/year for cloud storage.

We have had a lot of cameras and simple security over the last few years.. These units are fantastic and worth every dollar. The clarity, zooming ability, motion detection and user simplicity... makes this one of the best we have had. It took me literally 3 minutes to install AND setup. No issues as of yet...And thinking we probably wont. Worth IT!!

Good video pictures even at night. App is pretty good and Google is known for updates. I bought the two pack and they back up to each other's viewing area. Sometimes it would show a person walking on one and not continuing on the other. Could be my wifi and I'm new to cameras. But checked out other brands and this is best for me.

I have tried one other outdoor camera (Guardzilla) before I tried the Nest. I went with the other one first because it was completely wireless and I would not need to run a battery cable. However, I soon discovered the picture quality and motion detection ability was not good at all. I now have the Nest installed and I can say the following. 1. Excellent length in camera cord. 2. Excellent picture quality 3. Great motion/person detection - you get emails anytime it sees any motion and can tell the difference between motion (trees blowing or a moth) and a person. The email subject tells you which type it saw. You do have to pay 100 a year or 10 a month to get the clips of motion saved off, but I feel it is worth the cost. If you get additional cameras the cost is half of that for each additional camera. I plan on getting a second camera to cover my driveway.

I have had this camera for over a year now and am very satisfied with it. I'll get my one negative out of the way right off the bat. You have to pay a subscription fee if you want recording. It is basically useless if you don't get the subscription. That's not even the worst part, the worst part is that you have to pay for a subscription for each camera separately. They recently announced that next year they will finally offer a "whole home" plan which will cover all cameras. At that point, I would change this to a 5 star review. Because other than that, this is a really great camera. Setup was a breeze. The hardest part was getting the ladder out and deciding how I wanted to route the power cord. But they include everything you need, even the little plastic clips to secure the cord to the wall. Once you have it all mounted, setup is really easy using the app. You just scan the QR code and tell it a few things like where it is, how often you want to record, etc. Using it is really simple to. You can set up zones so that you don't get a notification every time a car drives by or something. This is a really great feature if all you care about is activity in a certain area, like right in front of your door. Overall I am very satisfied with this camera and will most likely buy another when I move into a bigger house next year.

Purchased a 2-pack and won't stop there. Images, sound, and wide-angle coverage are exceptional. The human detection algorithm is surpringly accurate. Autumn leaves are bringing activity alerts, but machine-learning is reducing these. The apps' still thumbnail / event cueing feature makes sifting through such events a breeze. Day/night transition is smooth. This is a great tool for "timelapse" dawn-to-dusk videography. The NEST app is simple and convenient for smartphone and iPhone users alike. Consider it highly recommended!

These are probably the most well designed and packaged product that I have purchased in a very long time. The instructions are clear, the set up is easy, and the installation was a breeze due to the excellent design. The use of a strong magnet to hold the camera to the low profile mount is a genius feature. It allows for near total range of motion to orient the camera for best coverage of your area. All of the hardware you need to mount the camera and cords is included. The one feature that is a little weak is the volume on the speaker feature. We mounted the cameras about 11 ft off the ground, which may be part of the issue. My sense is that if we use this feature, whatever is said will not be heard. However, the live images produced by the cameras is excellent. We installed two, and our Wifi easily handled it. We are very impressed with the quality of these, and look forward to a long useful life. Highly recommended.

Great outdoor camera! Setup was easy and it’s even easier if you have an outlet close by. It’s battled the winds, heat, cold, and a short rainy season in California. Picture quality is great and night vision is awesome! The only thing that bothers me is when it starts to buffer for no reason. It must be on nest side of things because I’ve seen YouTube videos with people talking abou the same problem.

I really like my Nest Cameras. I have several indoor ones & now just bought 2 outdoor ones so that I can monitor front & back doors of my house. The outdoor version are a little hard to install & you need some tools but my husband was able to easily do this. The plug in cord is very long & I wish they can you an option for a shorter cord. The long cord is nice if you don't have an outlet nearby but it also lets an intruder see the cord. We found a way to wrap the cord & tuck into an area behind the camera. The salesperson was misinformed about the video service that can be archived & told me it was free, which it is only free for the 30 day trial period so be sure to understand the monthly fee that you can decide to pay. Without this, you can't scroll thru the day & see what is happening. You also can't save video to send to Law enforcement. The alerts on these Cameras can drive you crazy & it will buzz even when your IPhone is on silent. This is good & bad. I had a person lurking at the door recently & the alert was great but flying bugs also send alerts! These notifications wan be shut off. These Cameras are very easy to setup & I mainly use the IPad & Iphone app but you can also log onto your account via a desktop.

I was looking to find a way to have home security cameras without having to be in front of them watching them all the time. These cameras are great for monitoring your home and being alerted to when you need to. Setup is fairly simple thru the Nest app and the physical installation in the location almost takes longer especially if you are up on a ladder. Camera quality is amazing for security cameras and I can clearly see faces, license plates, etc in case I need them. Nest app is easy to use and I can scroll thru my notification history if I need to find a clip and save it. I can also set zones so I am not alerted to every single car passing by my home or if I just want to get person alerts Overall great products and will be buying more for my home!

This camera has been great so far. Installation is straightforward and the video quality is good. Would definitely recommend!

Love this camera. It was so easy to set up and the picture is great. The only bad part is paying for recording of the video.

These cameras offer a wide angle, clear outdoor view that allows for zooming in, and most importantly it’s super easy to install and use to stay safe and secure.
