Constant Disconnections

A constantly cuts off and says that it doesn't have power. It also claims that it doesn't have access to Wi-Fi. The problem is, I have other outdoor cameras and devices hooked up to Wi-Fi that have no problem. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know that my internet originally was really terrible. But I recently changed over internet service providers to one that is much better and much faster and have had no issues with any of my other devices. This one still constantly disconnects and has problems capturing video. I plan on returning this as soon as humanly possible and replacing it with something more competent. Google has really dropped the ball on all of their devices with their inability to maintain their devices and terrible customer service.

1. Check the wire voltage: An upgraded power transformer may be needed if voltage and power requirements are not met.
2. Check your Wi-Fi network or router settings: Incompatible Wi-Fi settings can cause your camera or doorbell to disconnect or appear Offline in the app.
3. Check the app version: Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Home app to get the latest features and bug fixes.

A nice upgrade from the Nest Hello

The color options aren't that great but I just bought a slick wrap and applied it so it would better blend into my door. If you are invested in the Google ecosystem it is a work while buy if you find it on sale. Unfortunately the Google Home app still has a lot of work to do. The Nest app was far superior.

And while the new Nest cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app, users with previous versions of Nest cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Doorbell and Nest Cams.
