We didn't want to do battery and deal with charging or battery drain issues with our cold winters. It has been in use for about a month and have had no issues. The installation was easy and highly recommend this camera.

Catches everything that passes by and recognizes animals, people, vehicles, and packages. If your packages is gone you get a notification.

Took months to decide between this and ring, but it works so easy with phone and other Google displays. One app on my phone for doorbell, security camera, hue lights, thermostat and smart displays.

The instructions are spot on and it had the accessories I needed. I really like the notifications and being able to see the deliveries and packages sitting at the door.

With many blind spots, you can easily be missed by the camera. The speaker is also too quiet due to cheaper parts. It can make it difficult for the person to hear what you are saying depending on the background noise. The pros of the camera would definitely be the night vision. It’s pretty clear at night. For the price since it is cheaper than the original, it’s a very average doorbell. Sad for a Google product as they should be making a better product by taking on a brands original purpose.

Pros and cons of google doorbell

If somthing happens middel of night once u wake up footage will be gone so dumb. Once in while it will stop recording audio too.

You won't ever have to worry about missing any events as these videos and clips are all saved onto the Cloud. The prices on Amazon are highly competitive, I would rather look and study what I’m buying. Still I believe Best Buy should do match pricing

Otherwise the chime will NOT work. I purchased a transformer and it took about 15 minutes to install, afterwards, the chime worked.
