I had the 1st gen, and this seems to be an improvement with motion detection (sun/clouds changes especially). The price of the subscription (which is almost a must-have) has recently increased to $80 a year, so consider that when comparing.

We had the battery version previously and spent more time charging than we did using.

It worked with my existing chime. No extra hardware required. It came with the screws and other installation kit. Video clarity is good. Notification are great. I wish it came with the black plate to cover any holes and wires behind. But there are plenty back plate options available online.

And it runs off a different ap from my internal Nest Camera, Thermostat, and Fire Detectors.

This one was much easier to install, with more clear directions. No issues whatsoever. Although the camera view seems a bit narrower than the old version, I can still see as much as I need to.

Amazing

Came acrosss this device and since i already have the nest/google product, i decided to just go with it and i am very happy with this. I bought the wired version and the installation was easy including adding the device to my google home app. I do see the disconnect between nest and google home but i can live with it.

Doorbell Chime not working
