I bought this to replace my first gen model. Even though these things are wired, there is still a rechargeable battery in it that will die in a few years. The first generation was a much easier install. With this one, I thought I was losing my mind. If you need extra room for the wires, install the angle bracket.

Great product. Works as advertised. Installation is not bad. The camera resolution is pretty clear and captures audio well.

Great upgrade to the previous Nest doorbell camera. Only downside to this is if you upgrade to this (and I believe this is true of other new Nest cameras), you can no longer view it via the Nest app on your smart device. Now Google is forcing everyone to the “Google Home” app. It does work ok but I think I liked the older Nest app better.

It was really easy to install, even though my siding is weird. Had it up and running in no time. Really great picture and video as well

Great doorbell camera works during the day and at night without issue. And since it’s outside some people shouldn’t have to worry about Google spying on them since that seems to be a topic of concern for a lot of people. It’s also easy to setup.

Works great and installation/setup was understandable and easy to follow. Love seeing who is at the door and seeing the history.

Works better than expected. Easy to install. Nice clear video and ability to zoom does not lose image quality. I prefer the north south viewing area as compared to competitors who focus on East/west view.

We already have an existing nest ecosystem and decided to finally get a doorbell camera. We didn't want to do battery and deal with charging or battery drain issues with our cold winters. It has been in use for about a month and have had no issues. The installation was easy and highly recommend this camera.

This is a nice upgrade to the original Nest camera. Picture/videos are more clear. Notifications seem to be more accurate. I have the nest ecosystem so the camera synced easily! I would recommend this doorbell camera.

Great picture quality and movement detection would recommend

I had previously used Amazon Blink’s video doorbell and it kept disconnecting, It made the constant reconnecting tedious and frustrating. So I decided to replace it with this more expensive Google Nest doorbell. It is a HUGE improvement. Not only does it seamlessly connect to the Google home app, but it recognizes faces I’ve identified in my Google photos app and lets me know who is at the door with push notifications. Pretty epic if you’re into smart home tech. I bought the wired version because I didn’t want to mess with replacing batteries. Downside: This is significantly more expensive than Amazon’s Blink doorbell. Like 3x-4x more expensive. But I think it’s well worth the extra money for the freedom from hassle. Bonus: if you have a smart tv with Google OS, you can view your video feed right on your tv.

Great video quality, easy to set up, and works with existing chime. Took months to decide between this and ring, but it works so easy with phone and other Google displays. One app on my phone for doorbell, security camera, hue lights, thermostat and smart displays.

Upgraded from the older model. This is bigger and better and we love it. Crisp video and easy to use app

Way better than the previous version. The camera y crystal clear. You also get a biger view with this camera. With the iternet you are able to get notifications of who is in the front door in about 3 to 4 seconds.

all the google camera items work really well. This replaced my 8 year old nest doorbell that the sun damaged after many years. the door bell still worked it just did not look the best so I took advantage of a sale to replace.

The Google Nest Doorbell (wired) looks sleek and is built to last. It’s easy to install and works very well, offering great video coverage of your entryway. Notifications are prompt and reliable, so you always know when someone’s at your door. Highly recommended!
