Wonderful doorbell! Big improvement over the 1st generation model. I can finally hear the doorbell ring anywhere in the house and can easily see and speak to visitors. Technician was great! Thanks!

works exactly as expected. Integrates easily with our Google Home and ADT+ system and pairs easily with our Physen chimes. Age Friendly install, integration and operation.

Great upgrade from the 1st and 2nd generation Nest doorbell camera. Just remember that it does need a more powerful doorbell transformer and you might need to get a newer bell if it can't handle the new transformer's output.

Works well. 2k video more than enough for front porch and street views.

Easy to install and works great, however there should be information provided that you need to up the transformer to your doorbell in order for it to work properly

I replaced my last doorbell(older version) with the latest model. I am happy with my purchase. The quality and sound are great. My doorbell is on the side wall with a tilt towards the front. It picks up motion with a view much better.

Really good camera. The install for replacing a Gen 1 was not super easy. We had to get a new transformer that could handle this one. Between that and not being able to lock it into place before putting the anchor screw in, we had to get an electrician friend to help. I was able to install two prior Gen 1’s myself. The google home app is improving, but still not as great as the original Nest app.

Very easy to install and looks great with good resolution

Replaced my old door bell, this one is so much better. Picks up people on the side walk in front of the house if you want. Great 4K camera, works better than expected, the resolution is awesome!

Great outdoor camera! The video quality is super clear, even at night, and the motion alerts are always accurate. Setup took just a few minutes and it’s been reliable in all weather. Definitely gives me peace of mind knowing my home is always monitored.

By itself the doorbell is an improvement to a first gen nest doorbell. The camera is clearer and zoom is improved. The picture quality is 2k as opposed to 1080p on the first generation, but the 3rd gen also gives you a very distinct fisheye effect that wasn’t there with the first generation. The new 3rd gen. also has a chime connector puck only requiring 2 wires compared to 1st generations 4, so the wiring is easier at the chime box. I consider the mount to the outside wall more difficult than the first generation, possibly requiring a slight location change or shimming from where the first gen. was mounted. Honestly I was quite happy with the original 1st generation Nest Hello, but Of course Google has decided to obsolete the original Nest app in favor of Google Home, which still seems a little clunky and not as polished as Nest was. Over time with few more updates the 3rd gen will probably become very well integrated with today’s smart home, but I would not reward Google by purchasing a 4th or 5th generation anytime soon, after all it’s just a doorbell with a camera. It doesn’t require a retina scanner or heart rate monitor. Polish the app and reprieve your customers from the planned obsolescence.

Great product! We bought this after having had a Ring doorbell. This Nest doorbell works great, has clear video and tells you a package is there and it tells you when the package is no longer there.

The Gen 3 upgrade is worth it for anyone with a first- or second-gen wired doorbell-mainly for its 2K video, wider view, smarter Al alerts, and simple drop-in upgrade path. However, it demands a more expensive subscription for continuous recording, and users who preferred the legacy Nest app may find the transition to Google Home less flexible.

The 2k video quality is much nicer than previous versions. Also the more square aspect ratio gives me a wider angle which I needed for my use. Also love the Gemini text and ability yo ask questions about what happened!

The camera works great. It was easy to substitute the previous one. We had the 1st gen of Google Nest Doorbell. The downside is that the Nest app does not support this new version, so we need to use two apps. One to manage our lock and thermostat, and another one, the Google Home app, to see the camera. Other than that, no complaints.

Unit itself was easy to install and add to the account. The only issue I have is the mechanical chime adapter. There are times it rings the chime and other times it doesn't. Other than that the camera is very clear and is a welcomed addition.
