The picture quality is excellent. We are really happy with addl security the Nest provides. Well worth the money.

The product worked at first, but with our luck the unit was bricked and deemed defective by Google. Unfortunately the product stopped working 2 days after the 15 day return policy and I was told that I had to deal with Google -_-. Thankfully Google will be sending me a replacement, which I feel Best buy Could have easily done for me. But I guess it's not in their best interest.

This video doorbell is fantastic. Easy to install and the video quality is great.

I love that I can see who is at my front door without having to open it.

PROS Face recognition works very well Currently, the smartest doorbell Excellent Integration with Google Home/Google Assistant Subscription is optional CONS Subscription fee to record more than 3 hours of video but it may be worth it at $5 a month Installation was not difficult but if you have never installed a doorbell and chime, it may take a while to figure it out but the app will guide you step by step. For me, the whole installation took about 20 minutes. It does need to be hardwired but in most cases it is just a replacement of the doorbell and installation of a “chime connector” between the wiring and the chime. Image is superb and night vision is very good but my favorite feature is the ability to scan faces and tell you who is at the door even if they don’t ring the bell. The first day it had enough views of the family and could recognize the faces of everybody. No matter where you are, as long as you have data or internet available, you will get a message with a picture on your phone with the name of the person if known or just an unknown person message. You can then see it live and interact with that person if you so wish. I hear you need to subscribe to use the face recognition feature but it comes with a free trial. At $5 a month subscription fee, I might consider it just for the peace of mind. Still, it records up to 3 hours of video automatically for free and you can review it at any time. You don’t need to subscribe for live viewing. You can also talk to the person at the door and vice versa from wherever you are. I noticed a delay of 3 or 4 seconds but good enough to keep a short conversation. There is a quiet mode option that prevents the chime inside the house from ringing but the Nest Hello itself chimes so the person knows it’s working. Using the Google Home app on my iPhone, I was able to add the Nest Hello to it and from then on, I could talk to any smart device powered by Google and have a live stream displayed on my TV connected to Google Chromecast. I know it supports Amazon Alexa too but I still haven’t figured out how to make it work. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with the Nest Hello. This is much better than I expected and having seen some of the other similar devices out there, I can tell you that this is the best so far with or without subscription.

Awesome addition to our Google Nest Home devices. Clear pictures, decent audio.

It was easier than I thought to install. Overall, we love this and he other best products we have connected in our house.

this is a must have for lots of reasons. you can see who is at your door, you can speak, you can see who is passing by. i love it.

Would have given 5 stars however it no longer works properly with Lutron as google has bought NEST. So that made it less compatible with my existing smart home setup.

I find this camera much more clearer than the Ring door bell. Great range and sensitivity to give me alerts.

I have owned sky bell and ring doorbell’s also but this is by far the best doorbell but I’ve heard so far.

So far I have found that the camera function of the Video Doorbell works well, and set-up was relatively straightforward. The problem I had with it is that it would not ring my existing doorbell chime, nor another I had purchased. Fortunately I did some research and found a model that was claimed to work with the product and ordered it from Amazon, got it delivered and set up. Now I have video and a doorbell I can hear throughout the house.

I gave this as a gift, and the recipient liked it so much, he is buying another one for another door of the house!
