This is a great security upgrade to my home that everyone should have. The Nest Hello has been in use for a few days now and has been an incredible addition to my home security. I have had three packages delivered, all deliveries I was alerted and was able to see the packages siting on my porch. I have even been able to get rid of a solicitor on a Segway without even opening the door. The best was a solicitor who came up to the door pretended to knock as he took a photo of himself pretending to knock. I startled him by asking if I could help him through the Nest doorbell, the look on his face was classic. He looked around and got out quick. I’ve learned over the past few days, there is a lot of activity at my door on a daily basis, I was a bit taken back by how much I must have been missing over the years. Today alone I have had 381 events, motion, sound, and camera events. I would suggest turning off the sound detection, every small sound is detected and alerts are sent. Sound events make up about half of all alerted events, it is just too much, for me at least. Motion events detect everything from cars passing by, people walking by, to tree branches moving and even heavy rainfall, but I will keep the motion activated, I like to know what’s moving in front of my house. Set up and installation was a breeze, I was up and running in about an hour. I have the Nest Aware free trial now for 30 days, I fully intend to keep it when the trial is up. I did have a few issues with the camera going offline from time to time. But a little troubleshooting found that my transformer was faulty and was having voltage drops. A trip to Lowe’s and $11 later, I was back in business. My transformer is in the doorbell chime box and took less than 20 minutes to swap out. Basic tools and a little common sense is all that is needed to install the transformer, very simple. I heartily recommend the Nest Hello Doorbell and think everyone should have one. It is a small price to pay for the piece of mind you get with this device.

Perfect and working fine with no issues. Night vision is good with no delay notification.

It stopped working in severe cold(40-80 below zero) last winter. The camera wouldn't load until the temps came back up a bit. Otherwise, it's worked nicely and I am satisfied with it's performance. After I installed it to my 12v system I noticed a rather loud buzz coming from the bell assembly. I found a fix on the internet with a simple resistor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fixoWAapBA
