The camera and sound are very clear. The app is easy to use. The only negative is that the doorbell chime is barely audible. The installer said that is the way it is.

The camera is awesome. I was able to monitor my front door while I was travelling.

I have become a huge fan of the NEST products. This doorbell was easy to install and I have had very few issues with it. The biggest issue I had in the beginning was connecting it with Wifi. Once that was done it has been great. I would highly recommend subscribing to their on-line storage, otherwise the doorbell only takes a picture is someone is seen or rings the doorbell; whereas if you subscribe to their service you get actual video of the person.

I have the Nest and my father has the Ring. The Nest is approximately half the size of the ring but double the weight. The best way I can describe it is the Ring feels like a toy from McDonald’s and the Nest feels well built and high quality. Over the past month, the performance has matched the quality build. FYI, you will have to purchase a subscription to enable all the features. If I remember correctly, it’s $5 a month.

Setup was involved but not difficult. Everything you need is there and instructions are clear. I did need to purchase a 90 degree adapter since my doorbell faces sideways (Etsy). You have to set up your zones to eliminate massages every time a car drives by or a plane flies overhead. If your smart TV has the Nest app, it won't work but https://Home.nest.com works.

Love, love, love it. Inexpensive to use. Monitoring is not costly like the ADT and such. You can pay for the whole year, for a weekly or monthly monitoring right to your phone. Lets me know when someone is around by alerting my phone. Not hooked up to a monitoring service. This I can afford. Even works when you are away from home. Must have internet service for you home.

Doorbell functions as it should. Looks nice as well. For video further than a few hours back, you need a subscription.

Excellent video quality and syncs in one apps with our other nest cameras and nest thermostats.
