The Nest Doorbell is the best video doorbell on the market. Easy to set up and easy to use.

We have it linked to our nest account so we get alerted every time some walks up to the door. This has been useful for package deliveries as well. We have the free trial of the nest aware (which is required for live alerts and recording) and plan on paying to continue it; it only costs $50 per year which is half the amount it costs us for our family of 5 to go out to dinner one time.

If you have google home this is your door bell. Works with google home great. Easy to install, you don’t need a pro. Took me 5 minutes. Set up notifications for movement, people etc. Best resolution on the market. Sends notifications to your phone and announces through google home that someone is at the door if you can’t hear the doorbell and live in a mansion like me.

After having other video doorbells this was easier to install and the app is great

I purchased this as a replacement for the RING which finally died. Great reviews and now that it’s in, I can say that it’s much better that the RING ever was. BUT…..the instructions, which are not included and must be accessed via the app, are rubbish! At nearly every step, you are encouraged to hire one of the Nest professionals to do the installation and I think the instructions are deliberately poor so you’ll have to pay for that. One example is the wire extenders, a great idea, except that they will not fit under the cover plate. And the diagram of which wires to use on the actual doorbell in your house? None of the pictures match? “Consider hiring a Nest professional installer”. There are no trouble shooting suggestions, such as “Nest is not compatible with 5G, so make sure you are using 2g.” If you don’t want the hassle or don’t have any experience, just plan on hiring one of their professionals and factor that cost in.

So much better than the ring we replace it with. Quality of picture is clear.

Nest's video doorbell is a worthy addition to its premium smart home security range

The best video doorbell on the market. I tried Ring 2 & Pro. Both had some weird angles and were too wide for our purposes. Easy to install. The clarity is awesome and the zones were easy to setup also. You don’t get inundated with a bunch of messages all the time unless it’s something you should take a look at. Works flawlessly with the Nest Protect and Nest Secure. I use IFTTT to work with ARLO which is a pain sometimes.
