We got this when our neighborhood social media group alerted us to prowlers who are going up to front doors in the wee hours of the night, trying doors and windows, and entering if they can get in. A little sluggish with alerts but that seems more a wi-fi issue. The doorbell is a deterrent more than a protection. It's blue light and large size stands out as "I see you and am recording" It was easy to install. Quick to set up. Nice video quality that's fun to watch. It's also addictive. I never knew about the special friendship our cat has with the mail carrier.

Love this doorbell, clear picture and alerts. A perfect upgrade to the regular doorbell.

I purchased this Nest Doorbell Cam after we had some activity at the house that i wish i had on camera. I already own the nest outdoor cameras, so this is just an adder to the pack. Super easy to install, took maybe 10-min to install and setup. The video quality and sound pickup is better than our other two Nest Outdoor Cameras.

Up and running for 3 weeks now and its Great! I had to change my doorbell transformer to provide the power it needed and I debated calling an electrician but decided to save the 150 bucks and went to Lowes and bought one for 15 was easy to install I just turn off all power to house and took no time (took more time to locate the transformer). The video is excellent and having the 24/7 record was a no brainer for me. Setup was so easy through the app, never hiccupped .

Glad I had this installed prior to covid19 as it helps identifying packages and food delivery services I typically wouldn’t know arrived. Unit does are great job differentiating between visitors and motion beyond the door so you’re not constantly notified. Very easy to install, nest provides the very detailed instructions but if you have a brick home like I do recommend getting your hands on a hammer drill prior to install.

I love this Nest doorbell. It was very easy to install!! You scan the product with the Nest app, then it walks you through the installation step by step. It didn't take any more than 15 minutes to install and has worked fantastic ever since. The clarity of the video it produces is amazing for such a small device. I also like that you can change the ring for different seasons and holidays!

Great door bell. The camera is of great quality and the night vision is excellent. Easy to use. Speaker is very good.

So far I have only used the Nest app and not the Google one but we have enjoyed having a quality camera doorbell. It is well made, has great picture quality, and is hard wired so it never needs batteries. The tricky part is that if you don't currently have a doorbell you have to buy a transformer that works with the nest doorbell and find a way to get a wire to an outlet. Google or Nest does not sell a transformer or install kit so you basically have to Google how to hook it up. I do like it being hard wired much better than having to depend on batteries.

This second wired Google doorbell provides video coverage and doorbell service to a gate. Video is great, notifications are prompt and alerts of activity in defined zones behave as expected. The new Google wired doorbell shares the same specs as the existing Nest Hello wired doorbell and only differs in the Google branding. The wedge adapter is now plastic instead of aluminum. With an existing Nest Aware account, adding the Google wired doorbell was an easy decision. Compared to the new Google battery doorbell, the wired doorbell provides 3MP video resolution, continous video recording, the ability to see all existing Nest devices in the Nest app and freedom from periodic battery charging. (Google expert confirmed that the Nest/Google wired doorbells are served by the Nest app, while the Google battery doorbell is served by the Google home app).

The install for this product is both quick and relatively easy. Fortunately, the Nest app walks you step-by-step through the installation process. As for the Hello, the image was always buffering - thus rendering the doorbell virtually worthless. Rather than panic, the problem subsided after a couple days. Now, I'm really enjoying the convince of this device. This would be a five-star product if the facial recognition worked better and the notifications to my phone weren't delayed by 15-20 seconds. Hopefully both of these gripes will be addressed in future software updates.

This product is very good, and I would recommend this to someone looking for a video doorbell. The big one thing I don't like with NEST is the that you must purchase a subscription for a recording service. With the intro free trial membership I can tell a clear difference on time and accuracy of how the video worked and reacted vs. when my free trial ended. I still do not have a subscription but if I add any other devises I'm sure I'll add that at some point. This is the only reason for not getting 5 starts. But this is a very good product, easy to install, and looks good.

Easy to install and setup. I recommend purchasing a Nest Aware subscription to watch, log, and download any video. We love being able to see everyone come to the door: delivery services, guests, and more. The video is very clear. You can also respond immediately if you happen to be far away from the door, house, or to let people know that you’ll be right there or that you don’t want to be bothered.

I purchased this doorbell because my thermostat is already a nest product and the reviews overall are good. I went with the wired version because I did not want to deal with swapping out batteries. Since I am not an electrician, Google's directions were critical! Works great and surprising how many things it catches. Very happy with this product.

Hands down Nest is a better doorbell cam than Ring. Better Resolution, build quality, phone app, and aesthetics. I had a ring Pro for about a year and a half. Bought it on sale, It never really performed well. My electrical, wifi and mechanical doorbell were all set up correctly. average 100mbs download speeds. Doorbell Lag and freezing video was what I got from Ring. It just never worked right. Very frustrating. So the thing finally just dies. Customer service walks me through a factory reset and it came back to life but kept losing connectivity. They said to "Call my ISP" I work in tech and am very in tune to my home network so I told them No, it's not the ISP and hung up the phone. The Nest hello happened to go on sale for Black Friday so I bought it here at Best Buy in Bellevue. Easier to hook up and came right to life. It has worked solidly ever since. I've had it for almost a month and first off, The app is way more intuitive and It's worth the extra 2 bucks a month for storage. Also, the mic on the nest picks up sound from 100 feet away which is awesome. Better night vision and overall resolution too. No lag or freezing video when someone approaches and/or rings the doorbell. I'll be switching out my Amcrest cams soon and the Nest Qi model will be my choice.

Got this recently and it's a really good doorbell camera. Very clear images and videos, with pretty clear sounds. The alerts can sometimes be delayed, and the conversations also sometimes lagging. Very good amount of area covered in the cameras. It's great that it recognizes people and packages. Would be good if they had more options for sounds for the doorbell. Very easy to install with really good instructions on the app. Overall, it's a great doorbell camera for the ice, especially the price I got during Black Friday sale.

Awesome and reliable. Battery does need charging semi frequently if you live in a busy apartment complex!

I have several Nest devices and while not perfect I’ve always enjoyed them all. This doorbell is no exception. Super easy to install, even with my fairly old chime. Video quality is very good. I love being able to customize the ring around holidays. I like what Google is doing and can’t wait for the whole house Nest Aware plans.
