    I'm kind of handy guy but I got this professionally installed. It's a more involved installation especially on an older house. I had to buy an additional cover plate from Amazon to cover up the gaps in the wall due to the size difference between this and my old doorbell. When it's up and running it works great. Just be prepared to include installation in your budget or be prepared to spend half a day on this project.
