The only reason I cannot give this five stars is because we went from a Nutone chime speaker door system to the nest hello system. It was not easy, it cost more for installation than the camera itself and I no longer have a doorbell. But the camera quality is spectacular. I am notified on my phone when someone is at the door but it is delayed by several seconds. At night when I turn my phone off I have no way of knowing someone is at the door unless they are able to knock long enough to wake me up.

My wife and I frequently do online shopping and occasionally have visitors. We were deciding between Nest and Ring. Finally, got Nest after doing some research and saw more positive feedbacks than Ring. Once I installed it, this puts us at ease, plus we loved the Mini that came with it. The product works great, and the resolution looks clear. And it was very easy to install.

Quality of the camera is amazing for a front doorbell. It also plays Christmas and holiday door chimes during the season. You can use your phone or Google Hub to view the camera from live view or from history of recordings. Pretty easy to set up and comes with everything you need to install. Just check to see if your house is compatible before purchasing.

Easy step by step instructions and was easy to connect to google hub

Had a disaster with another brand's video doorbell. I picked this one up and I love it. The video is crisp and I get all of the daily notifications like parcel deliveries, familiar faces, unknown faces, etc. The only time the audio has been useful is to talk to my son when he's outside with his mom playing during the day. It seems to work well, I just haven't found it useful for anything else due to the delay in getting the notification that someone is at the door. I have top of the line mesh (hardwired) with 1 gig internet and the doorbell is locked on the main router, so I don't know why I can't get better real time communication through the 2-way audio. The only other downside is having to have a subscription. I have three total cameras, including the doorbell, and although the new Nest Aware is only $120/yr, I'd rather have an option for localized storage. Also, at night it is okay, but you need to leave your porch light on or have a motion light. Otherwise you will get ghosting of moving figures and if you needed to identify someone you wouldn't be able to do it. I would think they will come out with a unit with a spotlight or something in the near future. Some of their major competitors are already doing it. My wife takes out the dog before bed and she looks like The Flash on the video clips.

This video doorbell has impressive image quality! I had a tough start installing this video doorbell, which I ultimately had to return for a replacement. I had no problems installing and setting up the replacement, though. I could not be happier. I will have to ultimately get a new router just because our gateway is just not quite powerful enough, but overall, I highly recommend this product.

I have been searching for a doorbell camera for some time, but had too many concerns with the Ring products. Then I came across this beauty and was sold. The setup was super easy. I have a 16V 10VA transformer and really small wires to the doorbell (did not verify the gauge), and this doorbell has worked flawlessly for weeks. I love that it is constantly recording so even if the motion sensor alert is slow or fails to detect motion, I still have a full recording of it - unlike ring and other cameras that only record when they sense motion. I would gladly recommend this doorbell. However, the temperature limit range leaves me s bit concerned. The max temp is 104, which summer days in Texas easily surpass. I purchased this on the tail end of this summer, so we will see how it goes in summer 2019. It is also recommended that the doorbell not be in direct sunlight, which again is something I can't help, based on the design and orientation of my house. I purchased an artificial tree to offer customizable shade as needed. I just think outside products should be able to tolerate being outside... maybe I am just crazy. Despite all this, no regrets. It has already payed for itself.

Exactly what we were looking for! The setup was easily connected to my existing doorbell system. Notifications work great, video quality is great, and my two smaller kids think it’s the coolest thing in the world that they can push the button and I might start talking to them. Don’t waste another minute with a plain old doorbell!

Was a little hard to install based on directions in product. Installing on the door first is not the way to go. Install in house while disconnected then install. But overall this is best doorbell security camera in industry in my opinion. Especially if you have a google smart home. Love the face recognition and the alerts when someone is at the door or rings doorbell. Easy to install with current doorbell.

Works very well in all light conditions, and is able to display a visitor when doorbell is pressed very quickly- minimal delay compared to competing devices. Installation was very easy and well documented - you just follow on screen step by step instructions through their app. It's visual processing capabilities are very impressive and are what sold me on the device - it very reliably recognizes packages and deliveries, and will even alert you if it sees someone else picking them up or taking them off your porch! Facial recognition is handy feature but doesn't work well enough - visitor has to stand in front of the camera for a bit too long before google will properly detect and attempt to process their face. I wanted to use this feature to recognize my duplex neighbor who shares my porch and ignore him from alerts as he's always taking his dog out for walks - but he shuffles up to his door and then is gone before google can recognize him majority of the time, so I still get 10 annoying alerts a day that someone unrecognized was spotted outside. Had to turn off those notifications- rather disappointing. Device also uses only cloud storage, so must maintain a healthy net connection and can definitely burn through 200gb of data or more a month or more if you let it - adjust settings and recording quality accordingly. I think its a good product over all, just needs faster facial recognition. Also google nest environment is terrible in general if you care about your data privacy - big brother is definitely recording and analyzing everything you do when you store your data on their cloud.

Best new generation smart video doorbell. Easy install with 24/7 live video and the video quality is very good. I used mines with the wedge and nest aware standard subscription. Very good identifying people and motion from bushes and shadows. This works even better with the google nest hub or hub max. Video instantly shows on hub when someone rings the doorbell.

Works as expected. I already had a wired doorbell so installation and setup was easy. The video quality is great allowing me to easily make out who is at the door. A couple minor issues: First a lot of functionality is tied to the nest aware subscription. I knew this going in so it wasn’t an issue for me. Second, despite the wide field of view its not quite enough to see both a persons face and a package placed right in front of the door. Despite this I would recommmend this. Does what I need it to.

First time I saw this camera it was my neighbor; I really wasn’t sure if the camera was working for me, but just my daughter caught over her phone someone trying to go inside the house trough the window and called the police right away ... I always buy it... not matter what I go business or new house is going to be installed ... is clear vision, good service, nice quality and perfect timing

Been reading reviews and watching YouTube videos comparing different surveillance cameras and came to this over the ring. From what I’ve studied, this is better than the Ring. I did installed this myself. It was pretty easy. If you want someone to install it for you, it would be around $100. If your in store to get a doorbell camera, you can’t do no wrong with this

Ever since I installed this unit in my front door, religious solicitors and various other annoying people have stopped coming to my door. Some still do, but they don’t ring the doorbell, and I won’t answer the door without a ring. I love that it records motion, and signifies it between motion and people. What I don’t like is the fact you need to pay a monthly sub to keep the 24/7 recording. They do have a very affordable plan, but I wish there was a way to set it to record to a local NAS or something, instead of it being cloud based. People don’t like it because they know once they ring, they are recorded. But most people don’t realize it records on motion, too, so even though they knock still, thinking they are avoiding the record, they still are saved forever into my phones list of people to ignore. It can be a bit sensitive with the motion detection, and I do get false reports of people coming to the door, who are just walking down the street. It’s good for an anti social introvert like me, to know what’s happening outside without having to leave my comfortable chair.

Why did I wait so long? Relatively easy to install and picture and sound work well. Had a package marked as delivered but we never received it. Called company to let them know our camera did not show any delivery and package was dropped off next day. Not only does this cover front porch but also most of our front yard and street view. Excellent
