Got this to be able to monitor the front of my house, which it does well. However I'm removing a star because it failed to capture an incident that happened one night in direct sight of the cam. Also because NEST doesn't provide play-back beyond 3 hours for things outside of "motion" & "activity".

Works like a charm. It does drop offline on rare occasions - maybe once a month or two - and only for a few minutes per instance. May be due to the router being on the far side of the house, but otherwise happy with it... nice resolution and basic features.

Good buy for a security doorbell for any size of a building entrance

Love the app. Love the integration. Love the clarity. Love the features. Love the resolution. Love the freedom and the peace of mind owning this gives me. Installed it on my own (yes, it still works!). Would recommend this to friends and family. Got this on sale, which is a very fair price.

Great product. Works well. Hooked up using a a/c adapter and no chime. Instructions were a little off but worked through it. Says to skip chime setup but you can’t. So have to install as if there is a chime then you can select no chime

For anybody concerned with packages, or just safety in general. This is a great option for those looking for more control of their entryway. It's so easy to set up and install. The product is reliable with the exception that every once in a while I have issues accessing Nest.

Our nest doorbell has been awesome for knowing when packages are delivered since not all drivers ring doorbells anymore or send a timely update for delivery! Has also been useful to know who is at the door!

Overall a great video doorbell. Install was easy and took less than 15 minutes. It is annoying that the only way to get some of the features is to pay for a monthly subscription. I don't need the multiple days of recording but the zones and facial recognition are very convenient. Having to pay a subscription fee for those features is a raw deal. This keeps me from giving 5 stars.

Should have gotten one of these a long time ago. In fact I did, but it was the wrong brand and didn't work properly, plus it sounded like a squashed cat when someone hit the chime. Now, the boxes don't have to sit out all night.

I've wanted a Nest doorbell for a while. Online it will tell you to find out the voltage of your current doorbell. It was not anywhere to be found. We bought it and installed it. But it didn't work. We are sure it's because the voltage of our current doorbell. Our house is 26 years old. I thought that would still be young enough to have the voltage needed for the Nest.

Yup. It rings the bell. That's helpful. AND, it has video....which is quite nifty. AND, it rings on the phone....which frankly is quite nice if I'm out back, or indisposed, or whatever. And, I can see activity approaching the house (we can see 6 houses wide across the street!). All in all - yeah, get one....or two!

Would have rated this at 5 stars, but I have found that the connection to my wifi tends to be too slow to make the doorbell much use for talking to people at the door. I have a Google mesh wifi and fast internet, so I'm not sure what I can do to improve the speed. This is my second Nest Hello and I had the same problem with both.

Have a delivery from door dash or grub hub or a pizza place? You can get notified and tell them to leave it at the door. Easy to see when a package arrives since someone shows up to the door even if they don't ring the doorbell so it doesn't have to sit out all day.

Great camera! Just what is expect from google lots of features and the picture quality is awsome. You can program it to recognize familiar faces and even notify you when you receive a package i can even let you know it someone steal your package after it's delivered.

Used to own other brand doorbell, and this nest doorbell is by far better than others. Very responsive recognition and flawless recordings so far. A bit pricer than other doorbells, but well worth it! Highly recommended.

I believe this is a better product than ring. you have the ability to see video recordings without a subscription. If you have google home devices it will let you know when someone rings the doorbell through the speakers, NO doorbell chime needed in home.

I like that I can link it to my other nest devices along with google home. I mostly got it because I get a lot of packages delivered and there has been a few thefts in my neighborhood. Luckily I like to say so far no issues however I’m happy to have a peace of mind as well.

Simple installation. Have benefitted from knowing about package deliveries and who is at the door. Slight lag in triggering message to phone but not a problem. Especially helpful when not at home.

If you're unsure, it's very simple to install. Follow the prompts from the smartphone app, and some electrical know-how, you can get this installed in about 20 minutes. It's great compliment any updates to your existing home, and starter if you plan to automate your house.
