Nest - Hello Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell works great.

I am still learning how this product works. But it does what it says it will do,

BobC's experience and Kfelici's experience are not isolated. The same thing happened to my doorbell about one month before the warranty period expired. I've opened a ticket and I keep being told that they will get back to me but they haven't. After the doorbell melted part of my chime, I had to replace it. I also replaced the transformer and the chime connector. The last two times I've called Google/Nest support they said they would contact me but they have not. Terrible company. I will never install one again because I was lucky home when it started to melt the chime. If I wasn't home, could it have burned my house down?

Working great. Moderate difficulty connecting to internet.

I haven't tried the Nest with the subscription yet, but so far I can walk up my driveway, open the door and go to my kitchen before being alerted that it has detected anything (be it sound or motion). It does work when talking to someone at the door. The app isn't my favorite and doesn't allow you to always pan the camera when you are zoomed into a picture. However you can pan the camera during live feed. Only being able to log in with one account is also inconvenient. It is either myself or my wife's account that can log in. If she were to change her password for whatever reason, I wouldn't have access to the Nest.

I purchased this not knowing to much about it but I’m so glad i did!!

Very disappointed. I've had this camera for over a year and I have never been able to see who's at the door when the doorbell rings. I just get the spinning wheel like it's trying to connect. By the time it connects, the person is long gone. I thought it was my internet connection so I even bought some boosters, it didn't help. Very frustrating. I called product support several times, they just blamed my internet connection, which isn't the problem. Other than getting it to work while there's someone at the door, it works great. Not much of a positive...
