This is the best nest product out there! I love that I can teach it to recognize the mailman or friends. It allows me to see who comes by and adds an extra layer of security that makes our family feel safer. I found it super easy to install

My original doorbell setup was a button and two wires connected to a six volt battery sitting on a shelf in the basement. I got a doorbell power adapter and replaced that as a large 6v battery evidently was not enough to handle the Nest, and then went about installing it. I did not really expect it to fit. I'd expected I would be building a scaffolding as it's right next to brick and a security door, and yet it fit perfectly. I ended up using the 15 degree angler because bricks on the side, but it just worked. The only issues I have had with it are I really want some software updates - I don't want it to announce me when I'm walking to the door, it can recognize people really well but I'd like some options for animals. When someone rings the doorbell you're sometimes getting the ring on your phone instantly, sometimes 20 seconds later, and that isn't always a smooth answering experience. I've managed to yell at delivery people about five times as they're halfway down my walk. Eh, whatever, it works. Just needs some smoothing of the app. But really, it needs to allow you to not announce people are there when it recognizes them, other than that I love the thing.

I installed this camera at my front door for my wife. She is short and can hardly reach the peephole. Now she can see who is there and even talk to them id needed on her smartphone. Also we now see if UPS or FedEx has left a package at the front door. Very nice.

Easy to install to a replacement doorbell, great app to control and good cameras. Has face recognition so camera will say who is at the door instead of someone at the door. I also bought the thermostat, indoor and outdoor nest cameras and all work great with app.

I’ve had it a couple weeks and so far I really like it. Installation isn’t as easy as Google makes it out to be. There aren’t really any included directions. Just a paper card showing what’s in the box. The directions are supplied via the app when you run it. Every home is a case by case situation so that’s probably why the directions are so vague. It’s poorly designed in the sense that you pretty much have to install it and then see how the camera angle is. Then if you need to make changes, take it all off again and start over. Potentially making new holes and dealing with the wire situation. My setup is directly into the woodwork and in a 90 degree corner. I have no room to push the wires back into when installing. So they must be shortened. Google provides extensions with push locks that are so big, they may or may not fit behind the doorbell based on how yours is installed. I also had to buy small butt wire splicers to connect the wires. So, when I installed it, I was getting too much of the sky and the nearest wall on the left. I then had to take it off the wall again, I added the included wedge and that was still not enough angle/tilt. I ordered a 3rd party adjustable swivel online and went to the hardware store and bought thick plumbing washers. When the new 3rd party swivel arrived, I installed it again, (making even more new holes because I couldn’t reuse the last holes with the included wood screws) and put the plumbing washer through the top screw in the back to give it downward tilt. That all really worked great. It has a really wide angle view. Take door chime install was pretty easy, it did supply images of normal setups and it was just connecting a couple wires and you might have to let the new Google chime sit outside your door chime housing depending if there’s room enough to fit it in the box. If you have OCD and things have to be perfectly straight, depending on how this needs to be installed, this doorbell might not be for you. Without the mods, 35% of the view was my wall and it was cutting people off at the knees and I couldn’t see the ground. With the mods, everything is now in view. My first free cloud month hasn’t ended yet so I don’t know exactly how much the subscription will be, but I’d probably buy it agin if need be.

We bought one of these Nest "Hello" doorbells for our back door, and liked it so much that several weeks later we bought another for our front door. The monthly fee, which is only required if you want to see video of past events, is less than $7/month for an account which can include more than one Nest device. The ap for the phone is quite useful, and allows you to see what's going on at any moment from wherever you are with your phone. I especially like the fact that the ap recognizes package deliveries and actually tells you that there has been a delivery. You can narrow down the kinds of notifications you get, to cut down on things like movement alerts when a moth flies by (it's sensitive!). All in all, we are very pleased - and impressed! - with our new Nest Hello devices.

The hello nest camera is awesome!! its the only door camera, that records 24/7. the viewing range, is fantastic. the night time vision, is just as good as daytime. no glare, in the sun. set-up, was a pc of cake! no help needed, simple as ABC.. Great investment

Very satisfied with the features and ease of installation. Deliberated between an outdoor camera or camera doorbell and chose the doorbell because of the multifunctions and the available low voltage electricIty from the pushbutton doorbell.

The nest connects much faster than the Ring. Recognizes faces and overall works much better. I bought the ring doorbell first. By the time i received the notification the person was gone. Took way too long to connect. The battery would not last a month.

This has some Unbelievable picture for such a small camera. This was so easy to instal. My wife loves it because she is scared to answer the door for strangers or unexpected guest. Super helpful when we aren’t home too to keep an eye on things.

This is a great smart doorbell if you are already using Google/Nest products. Install isn't too bad and it works well. This is a good doorbell if you are looking to watch your front door as packages are left around when you are not home.

Every home should have one of these (or something similar). This one was easy to install and connect to my wifi network. It works well with the Nest App and provides quick alerts/notifications. The picture is great as well.

This has a very high quality camera, was very easy to install and does what I want it to do. The app is very user friendly and the storage options are sufficient. The only thing I wish it had was s little more adjustability in the mounting plate, options are 0 or 15 degrees. Very wide angle captures a great range.

Love the Hello door bell. I have been using the app alot. Being able to have a conversation with whoever is at the door using my phone is a great help expecially for parcel deliveries when I am at work. Also very clear video and announces who is atthe door t

I love being able to see who is at my door, and I like that this integrates with other Google products - e.g., when the doorbell is rung, the video feed pops up on my Google displays.

After researching the difference between the Nest to the Ring, we decided to purchase the Nest. We've had it for about a month now, and I really love the quality during the day and night. It was also pretty easy to install.

This is my second nest hello door I added in the back door the picture quality is great it senses the package and informed you, overall a great product and piece of mind for security.

I did so much research, trying to decide which doorbell to buy. I’m so HAPPY! It’s fantastic. Quality of the camera is great and alerts are on the spot. Camera face recognition works absolutely wonderful.

GREAT image quality. Holiday specific ringtones are fun, but i wish there were more. Easy to setup if you have a wired doorbell already(in a good location). Does NOT run on batteries, MUST be hardwired.

Love this doorbell! We have the nest thermostat and other cameras so having this and running all off the same system is great! Easy install and good viewing quality!
