Just the little blue light along is probably a great deterrent for any erroneous individuals trying to board your door steps. The set up is really easy if you have a newish doorbell system and it’s a tad more difficult if you need a new transformer to power it. The doorbell just connects to your current doorbell wires but if you don’t have that you can get a power plug for about $20 and run it in the house to plug in to regular outlet. All the nest stuff has got a huge upgrade in the last 2 years and it integrates wonderfully with google, Alexa, smart TVs etc.

Hands down the best smart doorbell around. The facial recognition alone is worth the price. Detects packages and loud sounds. Install was a breeze.

We love the camera quality and the door bell was easy to install. I have Nest cameras throughout the house so this was a perfect fit.

Love the ability to angle the eye. Sounds are very clear, night vision is as described- very clear. We really enjoy this added security to our keyless entry all on one smart Nest app. Highly recommend

This doorbell is much higer quality than the ring I was using before. Video and audio quality are great. The facial recognition feature is nice.

Works well and very easy to install and set up! It has a clear picture of who is at the door. Also alerts if a package has been dropped off or picked up.

Camera is so clear and has such a wide range. I absolutely love it!! So glad I picked the nest, it works so well with my google home and google hub. Buy it, you will not be disappointed!!

Great product, easy to install, I liked it to my doorbell, google home and goes well with my Nest thermostat. My wife and I both have access. Really pleased

We took our Ring back and exchanged it for the Nest. The image on the Ring was too bright and washed out! This product costs more but is well worth the price. Image is great! Facial recognition is a plus!! I wish it were thinner and not so bulky.

Bought this to integrate with the Google Home Hub and Lenovo Hub we acquired over the holidays - plus all the Google Home/mini's we already had. Picture is MUCH better than our previous smart doorbell. (Ring). Really like that it's always recording... you don't just get the delivery guy walking away from the porch anymore. Installing the Hello was more of a challenge than the Ring, though. Wire management was a bit of an issue. Communicating with someone at the door is easier... smoother than the Ring, which was usually choppy. The annual subscription is more with Nest but in this case, you get what you pay for... and for me, the extra few $ are well spent.

Imagine being able to see if your spouse or kids are at the door and being able to let them know that it will be a moment before you can let them in. (Haven't installed the Nest Yale Lock, yet) Imagine catching porch pirates red-handed or not having to answer the door when the 100th pest control salesman in the past week is ringing. Now, imagine being able to do all of this whether you're soaking in a hot bath or out shopping for groceries. No more rushing to the door, only to find that the neighborhood kids have discovered how to play ding-dong-ditch. Ah! Life is good...

Bought this for my parents and they love it! To get the most out of this product though just FYI you’ll need to get a Nest Aware subscription, which isn’t expensive and worth the price in my opinion (I paid for the $50/annually plan, but Nest/Google is changing their subscription model soon so just FYI). This is a very easy install (which I did for them) and is very straightforward. I still recommend, as with most purchases, to research this product first and installation method to make sure you’re comfortable with it. Otherwise you’ll have to spend some more money for someone to do it for you.

Great product, great quality. Very easy to set up and use. If you have an older doorbell set up, you may need to buy an upgraded transformer, but it’s an easy upgrade.

This is a great product and easy installation. Extremely clear pictures and once installed, the setup was simple. I will continue to purchase more of these products as needed.

The video is incredibly crisp and the 5-day storage option for footage allows me to review activity for an extended period of time. Installation was a breeze. Highly recommended.

This camera has been great! It was easy to set up and stays connected to wi-fi without any trouble. The picture is great and the microphone is clear and loud.

Very easy to setup, picture quality is great. I like that it molded more round and fits nicely on door frame. Didn't give a 5 stars because there can be a slight delay at times or no picture when my security camera notifies me and snaps a videos.

Gave this to family as Christmas gift. Here is the good news. Unit is attractive. Offers wide view of porch and sidewalk. Pictures on phones are clear. Chime is programmable. Played Christmas tunes until New Years and now is playing Auld Lang Syne. Cool. Here is the bad news. (any help with this problem would be appreciated) There is no chime indoors. Bought a new doorbell, installed it, nothing. Followed all directions carefully. Checked transformer, too. Nothing. Couldn't call the manufacturer 'cause there's no toll free number included with the box or paper instructions. Apparently this is a common problem with Nest. Simply need this thing to go ding-dong in the house -- really!!

In our previous house we had the Ring video doorbell but had issues with the way it recorded. I did some research and liked the Nest doorbell a little better. After installing the Nest I realized the sound didn't record on the doorbell. You must subscribe to Nest Aware to get the audio to record. Overall I'm very happy with the Nest. It has much better video than the Ring and was fairly easy to install. With the Nest app on my smartphone I am able to see when someone walks up on my porch and I can talk to them through the doorbell.

Sleek design and installed quickly. The app and instructions made it easy to install and integrate into the Nest suite of products. Good clarity, sound and quality.
