Love the Nest Hello video doorbell - looks good and works as advertised. I did need to buy, then install a stronger transformer for the wired video doorbell to work. My transformer was located near my furnace in utility room. First make sure you have strong wi-fi connectivity outside or you'll drop connections. You need the Nest Aware subscription to get all the useful features described in the Google Store website. Good pic quality, great Nest app, 24 x 7 recording with Aware subscription. You don't get much without Aware, so consider long term cost.

I bought this before I saw the eufy doorbell which seems to be great all around. With the nest, you are limited to the cloud services and cannot capture videos to an sd card. The doorbell itself, works reasonably well but requires nest aware to really bring out its utility. Pricey but decent. Perhaps with future google updates, the doorbell might integrate with smart door locks etc. I'll improve my rating if that happens. I also installed it myself but it can be tricky/dangerous if you aren't familiar with such as system. It uses the same wires that go to an electric doorbell to power itself. If you are unsure, you should opt for a nest professional installation service which adds ~$99 to the cost.

Clear and smooth! Although it is pricey! You get your money’s worth! It is a great tool for a home security! I need to get 2 more of these for my other homes!

I like that I don't need to worry about batteries, and very easy to install. Nest should sell a power supply in the event that you don't have an existing door bell.

Easy to install, easy to use. Works great and has pretty good facial recognition. Plenty of options for notifications and creating zones.

This is a great doorbell. The picture is fantastic even at night. Easy to install. You might need to replace your existing transformer to get to 16v. It's very easy to do.

I replaced an existing indoor/outdoor antiquated intercom/doorbell system that fried, so had the wiring. Friends tell me the battery model needs new every 60 days or so. No thanks. Now get to work and it is some work. First, check your wireless signal where the Nest is to be placed. Bandwidth, OK, but network speed better-they're different. Even if you have large bandwidth, the doorbell location may not get a signal! On Android, go to your WIFI SSID(what you call your WIFI), click on the settings wheel and see what ya got by the location. Although downloading a free WIFI analyzer that even this dummy can read, will show it best. They're all a minus readings, you want better than -60 to -30 is best, the lower number better. Without a good signal, you'll have a dead doorbell. Next, the existing transformer - Google docs and helpline not much help, 16V, blah blah, info that the old transformers don't mention. But embedded is "Class 2" and that's what you want. Now the wiring. Unless you have an existing working doorbell, probably need a meter or an electrician to check if you're getting juice. Next find the circuit breaker that controls the transformer. If all good, take a break. Part 2. Find a replacement plate, blank. Got lucky with Kyle Switch Plates in San Diego, found the prefect fit. I needed a big one for the intercom replacement and to mount my new Hello. Although you'll have to drill the new holes in the plate. I'd highly recommend getting an electrician to do the drilling and wiring for the Hello Nest and doorbell chime, but stick around, read/watch the install directions and make sure they are doing correctly. Your person may know wiring, but Smart stuff, not so much. Once up and running, you can do the link to your network, Nest app and doorbell chime or Best Buy might do it. The apps come in three models, Mobile, desktop and Google Home, all a bit different. So will take some study. In the end, I needed a new WIFI mesh system to reach the doorbell, but now all things Smart in my house are working great so worth the investment for me. And finally the video archive subscription. I have a busy street, so opted for the Aware Plus. A little pricey, I'll try it for a year. You get 24/7 checks and 60 day archives. If you live on a quiet street and little door traffic, you may want a lessor program, 30 day free trial available. After all this, it works great! Glad I did it!

Easy to set up and navigate. Works really well with my google home. You do have to purchase the extended app to recover video but not really needed

My first cameraBell so I don’t have much to compare it to. It responds well, easy to understand the person on the opposite end. Clarity is good but could be better.

Easy To Install and pair to google home. Excellent resolution able to zoom in and enhance. Good night vision.

Best doorbell we ever owned. The video quality is superior and the night quality is great as well. The notifications that you can use with it are awesome as well.

Has a nice camera. Has a nice sleek modern look to the Google doorbell. Captures movement very accurately.

The nest door bell camera is absolutely amazing, the pictures are clear and I like being able to see who is at my door it’s a good piece of security highly recommend

It is very easy to install. The only thing you may need to upgrade your doorbell transformer. The camera detects important activity and works perfect for now.

I bought the Ring and returned it. My friends convinced me Ring was best, but here’s why I opted for Nest Hello and love it! - the 4:3 Video aspect ratio let’s me see all of my guests instead of making them bend down - the app can recognize faces! - solicitor stop by and you don’t want to talk to them? No problem, use a predefined system response to essentially tell them thanks but no thanks - activity zones track people only where you want to be notified - the app is fantastic and let’s you connect to your Nest Yale door lock and more - Aestheically the hardware just looks so much better than a boxy antiquated looking door bell

Very easy to use with simple nest yearly subscription. Good quality video with great night vision. Easily integrates with your old door chime.

Had one in my previous house and had to get one as soon as I moved into our new house. Easy to use and provides great video.

The Google Nest Hello doorbell was a good idea, the installation was fairly straightforward but not a snap. The video is good. The doorbell chime would not work the first 2 days, and I had the settings correct for a mechanical chime. The glitch is that Google customer support is nonexistent. I was planning on getting several additional smart home items, including the Thermostat, but after the experience with their customer service, and reading other reviews from customers who purchased the Nest thermostat, definitely NO. If my HVAC costs a couple dollars more to run, at least it is running and not in limbo due to some software issues. Fortunately I went with the camera.

my family and I have numerous Nest products which work flawlessly. This doorbell camera is no exception. Set up is simple and the quality is great.

the video from it looks great with lots of detail on my iphone. The video is clear both day and night. It was fairly easy to install. I recommend it.
