Great video doorbell if you already have Nest

Very easy to install and actually improved how my indoor chimes ring (they used to be intermittent). It does the job, but the video is not very sharp. If you REALLY want to see what's going on on your porch, get a nest outdoor cam, it's clearer, but for recognizing someone's at the door and when you get packages, it does the trick.

My husband installed it with very little difficulty but others might need some assistance if they’re not handy with tools or comfortable around electrical wires. The app guides you through the installation step by step. Make sure your doorbell is compatible, however, before you start going through the process.

Proven video doorbell

Although you might have issues if you don't have proper the proper voltage box for the doorbell. I tried a video doorbell from Eufy and actually like it. The problem is how long it takes for its video to show on Google Hub or Chromecast. I also wanted continuous recording without another onsite device so opted for Nest Aware.

Nest is the best

Unbelievable what this thing picks up, hears or sees. The quality of video/audio is great. Did not buy subscription for any extra features or cloud based accounts. Straight out of the box and does everything I need.

Great quality of video recording.

We are very happy with the quality of the video. We like that we don't have to pay for storage. It has a good amount of video storage internally. We can greet people with a audio reply if we want to speak with someone at the door.
