We purchased this after our ismartalarm was getting glitchy and buggy and purchased all new equipment. Sometimes it doesn’t capture the person coming to the door until they have already left. If you buy the monthly subscription, you get way better recording options then without. That is the only reason for the 4 stars is basically required monthly subscription. Super easy to install too.

easy set up, works great, very clear video, clear sound.

We had the Nest doorbell installed when we redid our front door area. I can't speak to the install process, but I have set up other Nest devices before so I know it's usually a fairly turnkey process. We wanted to be able to see who was at the front door from our Google Home Hub, it works great! It's nice to be able to see people before having to leave the kitchen to go to the front door.

Works great and integrates well with my other nest cameras, replaced a very old nutone outdoor intercom speaker, so finding a suitable mount to cover the large hole in brick wall took some time, but otherwise installation was a breeze since the intercom had wiring for doorbell. The device alerts whenever anyone approaches the door which my wife and I greatly appreciate. Wish they had some other styles but this is working well. J

I installed this as a showcase item for smart home builds, and it works well. Image quality is great, and low-light mode is decent. But it streams constantly, and uses a lot of network (ISP) bandwidth. I also installed a Ring doorbell (Pro model), which only transmits when it detects motion or I request to see what's going on. ISP data usage dropped remarkably. Either will work - Nest may have a little better image, and is always streaming, but Ring will save your gigabytes.

Installation was a breeze. Camera has a good picture but not to sure about having to pay for storage with nest aware

I had the Ring device, but switched to the Nest Hello system to integrate with the Google home hub. Really love the previews of all recordings that appear on the screen of your phone. Keep in mind that you will need to purchase the Nest Aware to see any recordings at all. The least expensive is $5 a month or $50 for a year subscription. So far I am very happy with my purchase. Good luck!

Installed this doorbell and have been mostly happy about it. There is some connection issues where it just loses connection and you have to re-establish it. Picture quality and sound are great picture quality and sound are great but there is a slight lag between the time someone comes up to door and it reaches your phone. You do not have to get a subscription to see it but in order to keep video you will.

Nice upgrade over ring. High resolution video is great.

I love these Nest products. Nest has great phone support. They are very helpful. The video doorbell exceeded my expectations. Worked great ! I had a little trouble with my house chime that was solved by upgrading the chime transformer. I already had a Nest product so adding the Hello to my existing app was easy. I had a professional installer but I probably could have done it myself, it was that easy.

When purchasing this I was a little worried. Although I have the thermostat already I was a little scared installing this myself, especially being a new homeowner. Thankfully google made it simply and it works wonderfully with my other nest and google home products. Plus the free home hub I got with this purchase made the deal oh so much better! Thanks Best Buy!!!!

Feel protected having this doorbell outside our door. Wish it were a bit louder tone but otherwise it’s nice

I originally purchased this expecting to use it without the subscription, as I don't need all of the saved videos stored. During the Nest Aware subscription trial, everything worked great. Once it ended, the doorbell became fairly useless. It is supposed to capture a snapshot of whatever or whoever is at your door. This feature fails to work half of the time, letting you know someone was there but not taking a picture of who it was. When it does actually take a picture, you get someone's arm or their back, or just scenery. Since you have the subscription for 30 days, it also takes you past the return policy. The whole thing seems a little shady, as it worked perfectly during the trial. I did try chatting with Nest customer service about the issue and they were less than helpful. My suggestion is to go buy the Ring.

Easy to set up and easy to use. I love the face recognition as well

Simple installation and high quality video. The only downside is the subscription service required to capture live video.

Help a lot with security. Good picture quality and easy to monitor on a phone.
