I originally purchased this expecting to use it without the subscription, as I don't need all of the saved videos stored. During the Nest Aware subscription trial, everything worked great. Once it ended, the doorbell became fairly useless. It is supposed to capture a snapshot of whatever or whoever is at your door. This feature fails to work half of the time, letting you know someone was there but not taking a picture of who it was. When it does actually take a picture, you get someone's arm or their back, or just scenery. Since you have the subscription for 30 days, it also takes you past the return policy. The whole thing seems a little shady, as it worked perfectly during the trial. I did try chatting with Nest customer service about the issue and they were less than helpful. My suggestion is to go buy the Ring.

This thing is amazing. Very easy set up and great camera quality.

I installed the Nest Hello on the door of my shop and it has performed better then expected. It get great video in all lighting conditions and has a great perspective of the area it covers. I used the angle plate to change the video capture area and it is perfect. The audio capture is fantastic as well. Recommend this for anyone looking for a great video door bell.

Between the Nest app and some YouTube videos, all information was straightforward. Installation was a breeze, after I figured out that I needed to actually remove my old doorbell button to check voltage compatibility. (Not covered in app or online instructions.) Video from doorbell is sharp, clear and consistently good, even in low light. Highly recommended for Google Home users.

This was fairly easy to install. It works great. We chose to purchase the package that allows us to be notified if a package was delivered, but there is a free version for notifications. You can add names to faces so it'll tell you who is at your door, (if you know who the person is). We love it!

I like this Nest Doorbell. Direct connected. I just built a new home and this was the go to one. So it will be my second. Very slight delay using the app, but overall very nice picture quality. Probably not the best night vision, but it's close. I believe it to be better than any other option out there. Sleek look as well.

Love this doorbell! It was a breeze to install. The biggest issue I had was trying to find the doorbell transformer to confirm that there was enough voltage for the Nest. Set up was easy (I let my son handle that). We love being able to monitor who/what goes on our porch and to see the house next to us and across the street for security purposes. This product is definitely worth the time and money.

Originally, we were owners of a Ring doorbell but decided to switch to the Nest Hello simply because of looks. The Ring was a bulky box but Nest Hello just looked more elegant and skinnier on our wall. To our surprise the video quality on the Nest was better and more responsive as well. Its a bit pricier but well worth it for my situation.

smart doorbell in a nice form factor. Slim profile fit in the existing spot where my old bell was. camera night vision is top notch. integrates well into the Google eco system, especially into Google Home, and indoor speakers and other Google hardware.
