Good doorbell cam, picture is clear. The delay can be a little long until notification.

Went with google nest doorbell over the ring doorbell. Nest doorbell will detect when someone at the door and when a package was left. I like the fact that i'm not getting alerts all day long like i did with the ring doorbell.

Love this! Seamless with our other Google Home Products. Alerts us when there’s someone at the door when we aren’t home, video quality is good, and we can remotely speak to whomever is at the door. This is a nice security feature as it records and stores video.

I love my Nest and Nest Hub. It does the job. I like it better than the Ring. I got rid of my Ring as it just didn’t do the job. The Nest has night vision whereas my Ring did not. At night if you have a visitor at your door you’ll be able to see the person. I highly recommend the Nest.

Works great! It’s nice to be able to see who’s at the door or in the driveway from anywhere! Only complaint is the added monthly charge needed for live view and keeping recordings of activity.

The only reason it gets an extra star is because the unit itself looks good and is good quality. I bought 2 of these to 'upgrade' my old Nest doorbell cameras...I wish I hadn't. These and all other newer 'google nest' cams lack virtually all of the functionality the original nest cameras had. They DO NOT work with the nest app and you you get none of the rewindable history functionality the old ones had. And the Google Home app is terrible compared to the Nest app. I wish I hadn't 'upgraded'. Clearly when Google bought Nest they had no plans of maintinaing or supporting, yet they pumped out a bunch of expensive, pretty, yet more crappy cameras.

We used Best Buy gift certificates to purchase the hard-wired Google Nest, and we are glad we did. The picture quality is wonderful. However we needed to purchase a new transformer with sufficient power to run the system.

This camera was easy to install and hook-up. All you need is a screwdriver and drill. The easy to use QRC helps a lot and move along the installation considerably. Would recommend the camera to anyone who want a feature packed device with great alerts that is easy to use.

Had one before that we left behind when we moved. Decided to buy the same one again. Thought about the new wireless version, but we wanted to be able to let the camera run all the time and you need the wired for that. Picture is great. Voice chat is spotty.

I’m a gadget junky and I’ve been looking at one of these for a while, but wasn’t really able to find a device that would work for my setup until this doorbell hit the market. I considered the Ring Video Doorbell 2, but the width of it would require some carpentry work on my end that I really had no desire to do in order to fit a doorbell. The Nest Hello isn’t as stylish as some of the options available, but it is an impressive doorbell with some great features. Installation was a breeze. I already knew that I had the required amps to power the doorbell and the app gave me step-by-step instructions on how to install it and what tools I needed to complete it. The box did include a masonry drill bit for installing onto brick or stone, but it wasn’t needed for my application. Once I disconnected the wires from my existing doorbell and connected them to the to the supplied connector clips, I mounted the chime and covered everything up with the existing doorbell cover. Next, it was onto the exterior doorbell button. I disconnected it, cleaned up the two wires and connected them to the Nest Doorbell. I didn’t bother turning the power off since everything is low voltage, so once the two wires were connected, the blue light came on and the Nest was connected. I had already created an account prior to beginning the installation so it started right up. Once connected, I had the option or adjusting the chime delay, quiet time, familiar faces, night vision and more. The camera is very good as you can see from the photos that I took during daytime and with night vision. I was pretty amazed especially since I need to replace the light bulbs at my front door so there was very little light. The clarity of the camera is amazing and when speaking to someone the mic was pretty clear, despite the blowing wind. I also have a Sony speaker that has Google Assistant built-in and it’s supposed to announce the name of someone that I have recognized and accepted in the familiar faces section of the app. I have not been able to test that feature yet, but if it works, that is a pretty cool feature. The Nest Hello includes a one month trial of Nest Aware which allows the familiar faces to work with the doorbell as well as a 5 day history of video clips. After that you can pay annually for $50. The price isn’t too steep and seems on par with its competitors. There are options for 10 day history for $100/yr and 30 days for $300. That, to me seems kind of steep. If you opt out of the Nest Aware, your clips are saved for only 3 hours. That is pretty much useless in my opinion. The only complaint I have is really a minor one in that when you press the doorbell the first time, you cannot immediately press it again. You have to wait several seconds before the home will ring again. I don’t know if that’s because of the chime that comes with the doorbell or if it’s some part of the settings that I overlooked. Like I said, that is pretty minor overall. I really like the Nest Hello and would certainly recommend it.

Good video/paper instructions to install. The video quality is really good. Still learning the Doorbell. I wish the supporting app and documentation was more thorough. I turned off motion notification on all devices, but still receiving notifications. I also have two Nest thermostats installed.

I don’t think I’ve ever owned a home that doesn’t have a Nest doorbell it allows me to see who’s at the front door if I’m not at home I can tell the people that I’m not there to please leave it where it is always knowing who’s at the front door just a great product

Google made setting up this doorbell a breeze. This doorbell replaced an old ring doorbell that was left at my new home. It is a nice bit of added security and the notifications always keep me in the loop.

I've become a all-Nest home. The addition of this video doorbell adds another layer of security and monitoring. Nest has developed a great line of home security devices. This was easy to install but I had the right type of doorbell transformer. Make sure you check it before you install it yourself.

This doorbell is compatible with the other nest devices that we have in our home. Now we have one monthly fee that covers all the nest devices in our home. Easy to install and touch button is bigger than on the Ring.

This is a great doorbell! I work from home in my office upstairs. The doorbell notifies me when someone is at the door and I can see who it is and respond if necessary from my desk instead of having to run downstairs.

Video is great. Recognizes packages (although thinks my small brown dog is a package) and familiar faces. There is a slight lag between captures of motion and notification which could be a wifi issue. Easy to install as well.

Bought this to add to our Google Home. Have had it installed over a month now, and generally like it. We've had a number of packages get delivered, and it's good to have the doorbell inform us that someone came to the door to drop off a package. Sometimes it's the only notification we have of the delivery. It took a little bit to get the settings quite right, esp the camera sensitivity settings. Eventually set it to "person only" to eliminate it setting off for a car driving by (and we live in the woods about 75' away from our road). Still, we had a snowstorm the other day, and the bigger, puffier flakes would still set off the camera alert- we had "people" at our door every 5-10 minutes all evening. Not a major concern, but just pointing it out. Camera angle is great- covers our whole circular driveway in front of our house. Highly recommend, esp if you are a Google Home.

This nest doorbell rocks. My wife likes to shop and now I can see every purchase coming to the door. You would be surprised what your delivery people are doing. With this camera I have been alerted to them parking in the middle of the driveway and running up our hill on slippery grass to try and save time.

Have not really had this long enough to say I'm in love with it right now. Easy installation...the hardest part was prying off my old doorbell. Installed at an angle, so can see the person at the front door, most of my driveway, and the street. Alerts both my iphone and Apple watch. So far, so good. Will have to update this in a few months.
