This was a replacement for an older expired nest protect. Replacement and set up was easy. Works great and I love the night light option.

This product was easy to install and set up. If you are replacing an old detector it is easy as removing two screws and reinstalling. Really like the night light feature. Great piece of mind with this product.

I was worried about replacing my current wited detector but this was really easy. I also like that it is a combined smoke and co2. Setup through the phone app was very easy too. The motion detector night light is a nice bonus.

So far so good with these. Using them with a Starling Home Hub so they work with Apple HomeKit. Installed them myself to replace existing smoke alarms. Installation was simple; just 2 wires to connect.

Not only does it look sleek and modern in my home, but it gives me peace of mind knowing that it will keep me and my family safe in case the setup process was super easy and the app is user-friendly. Love these. They are great for the kids rooms as they have a light if they need to get up at night, and I love how they all connect to each other.

To the best of my knowledge I believe this is a great product. I said it that way because I'm not sure if it really works. I've never had a fire. But the nightlight function and the connectivity is pretty awesome.

I have the Nest thermostat already and within 7 months it has paid for itself. So when i went to change the batteries on my smoke detectors I found out they were expired. Yes, who knew smoke detectors expired. Anyway, I decided why not buy the Nest protects to replace the old smoke detectors. The Nest protects are really cool since they sync up with the app. have a carbon monoxide detector built in, and an led walkway light that is motion activated. Install was easy on the wired Nest protects. I even called State farm and found out I even get a discount on my homeowners Insurance because i installed the Nest protects. Already paying for themselves! Anyway They have been installed a few weeks and have been working great. They self check themselves so you don't have too.

Really cool and high tech if you are a geek. Installed 2 wired ones. The nightlight feature is really impressive and useful. Installation was a breeze.

I have three of these in my house placed in hallways and regular ones in the rooms. They work flawlessly. Setup is easy and integration is awesome. Work with nest thermostat, myQ garage and wemo.

Love having the app on my phone and not worrying about the batteries dying and going off in the middle of the night. When you walk under it at night it throws just enough light to see where you are going. Amazing.

The nest products are great features to put in your home. You are able to monitor and adjust the conditions in your home from your phone anywhere. The price is a little steep but in the long run it should pay for itself.

I've only had it for a couple months, but it was easy to set up, works great, has a great app and features. It is also supposed to notify you before the backup batteries get too low. I already bought a second.

This smoke alarm includes a smart-phone app that will keep you informed on the status of each alarm. Installation was easy, replacing my old wired system. The included adaptors were simple to use, and replacing each alarm was quick and easy. After each is installed, it is connected to the WiFi through the app. Once per month, the system goes thru an alarm check, and reports status to the app.

The smoke and carbon monoxide detector came with clear instructions and is easy to install. It integrates seamlessly with all other Nest devices. Once installed it’s supposed to be good for 10 years.

I bought 2 nests to replace older smoke detectors and add co2 detectors. They were very easy to set up and install. The night light feature is nice. They also look very nice unlike other detectors

This is my third Nest Smart Detector - this one replacing my original one that was almost 6 years old. The first one worked like a charm - no more annoying beeping at 2am when the battery started to get old. These detectors actually talk to you and let you know if their battery is nearing time for replacement. You will also get an alert on your smart phone if the alarm goes off when you are not at home, informing you of a potential problem. These work well with other Google/Nest devices and integrate well into a smart home environment.

Bought it when it was on sale. Replaced all my original detectors with these smart ones. Easy to install. Liked the feature as a path light at night.

Love the green light that comes on every night to show that the batteries are good. Also a big fan of the night light feature. Really like that you can set it to high, medium or just turn it off if you want.

We have been very satisfied with this product. It is more sensitive than our previous alarm and was much quicker in alerting us about potential danger. For example, while cooking it has alerted us that smoke has been detected and that the alarm will sound soon (our previous alarm had never gone off during cooking). It also allows you to silence the alarm before sounding so you can give the all clear when you know that it is not a true emergency. Integrating with the other Nest alarms in the house is also a plus so that you can hear what the alerts are in a different area of the house. It also provides the added comfort that if carbon monoxide is detected, the alarms will sound throughout the house. Would definitely recommend this alarm!
