I like that it works very well and integrates with other nest products (I have nest thermostat) and sends notification on phone. However, it still gets lot of alarms as it is very sensitive, especially in kitchen. I wish it send alarm when it is real smoke vs. cooking. Argument can go other way too that you invest in something that really catches something faster.

Nest continues to be some of my favorite smart devices in my home. Easy install, easy use. Cannot recommend enough.

These detectors are amazing - they talk, tell you what its happening and where, can light up to show you your walkway, and integrate well with other devices. You can even see a history of when there has been movement in the room (cat locked in somewhere?). We have 9 of them - installed the original version years ago. And over the last 6 months each of the original ones has died, but after 7 years or so I can't say that is surprising. Having demonstrated them to my in-laws, they are now in their hose too, as well as our ski condo.

I purchased this product because I wanted to ensure that if there was an incident at home while I was not there that my pets would be ok, and I would be able to reach out to the fire department. I love that it give you a verbal warning before it is about to go off, and that it self tests. I like that you are able to check up on its status from your phone, and i have it linked to work with my Alexa. The feature that i like most is that it acts like a night light, and the ring will change from green to white when you walk by so that you are not bumping into things. Its a small feature, but it makes me smile everytime it happens.

I’m a techie and this combo detector is amazing. Very loud. Battery and hardwire. Easy to mount. Night light when it’s dark and senses movement.

I've purchased 3 of these Wired Nest Protect alarms for my new house and to replace generic wired smoke alarms of unknown age. The Nest Protect is easy to install and monitors Carbon Monoxide and Smoke. Several reviews online indicate that this device performs measurements more frequently than other devices. Nest provides a website and cellular phone application that allows review of system performance. For example, if there is a power outage, it identifies this in the application. The interconnection between Next Protect units is via WiFi. It does not include a wire to for a wired interconnect. I do not know if units interconnect with lack of WiFi.

It's quite nice unit with fire and carbon monoxide sensor + night light path with motion sensor. Easy to install and sync with wireless Internet. Sensor and battery life is good for 10 years.

People will argue that is expensive for what it does but it is so easy to install and gives the protection needed. It integrates easily with my connected house. a No brainer

My first thought was "why would I pay this much when I can get a non-connected one a lot cheaper?". In less than two months it has alerted me twice. Both valid alerts (new stove - Turbo boil is really hot). I like the fact that it will turn off my HVAC unit when an alert detected and that it will notify my Nest thermostat that I am home. (It sees me more than the thermostat) the night light is a nice feature. And the monthly tests are reassuring. When was the last time you checked your smoke alarms? My old ones were way out of date!

Install is simple - both the manual install and networking/adding to the app (we have two pre-existing Nest thermostats). The guide lights at night are a neat added touch and are customizable (on/off, light intensity). The pre-notification on the app for the smoke alarm works well and requires more than just a tap to turn off, which is a smart design. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Easy install and intuitive setup! Was easy to retrofit to my current system of home protection.

Bought 4 of these to replace the "dumb" wired ones I had from 2012. They picked right up on my Wifi, Synced with my Nest account seamlessly. After a few personal tweaks with the guidelights and testing. They went right up easy. As expected for a Nest device, painless and just work. I am very pleased. In situations with multiple units, follow the wiring. These have 2 wires and instruct to remove the third. This all could vary on your installation of course. Do your research.

Enjoy being able to add these to our Nest smart home. Easy to set up, install not hard if you are any what handy. Have not had any issues with them yet.

Bought 2 for house. Easy to use with app. Nightlight is pretty neat. Easy to check settings/info on app!

Had this for a month now. I like it. It works as advertised, and I could see how integrating it with other Nest products would make it even better. Moreover, installation was easy (I purchased the wired model). Still, the $100 price point is a little high, when you figure you can buy a good (albeit traditional) CO/smoke detector for less than $20.

The product has been great so far. Physical installation was SUPER easy but WiFi setup was a huge pain!!! Once I got past that it's worked fine. While it's A bit on the expensive side, it does have some cool features like the path light that illuminates when it senses you walking by at night. I like the peace of mind that it checks itself daily.

Easy to install as a replacement for previous wired smoke detector. connected to app right away and app works well to monitor status.

Great product! East to install and love the functionality of it. Especially the night light that comes on as we walk through the house.
