Pickup from the mobile app order was convenient using the Best Buy Lockers. Installation was quick and easy. I was able to leverage existing ceiling plate mounting screws from the prior smoke alarm.

This might be a slightly early review as we have been using it for about a month now. Previously we had regular CO detector. Not that it was not working -- we felt sometimes even when we roasted / toasted breads -- it didn't pick up smoke. We were sure the old one was working as it used to chirp that 3am sound when it went out of battery. Only once it did actually sound. As far as Nest Protect -- I would say it is quite sensitive. It's placed in hall way and just about few 8ft away from one of the baths. Few weeks back we had hot water running and some steam escaped and Nest actually picked up and started beeping. Few days later -- we had some grilled veggies on kitchen (15-20 Ft away) and had some smoke. Nest protect picked that up as well. Would gladly recommend to anyone who is planning to buy Nest. Installation is pretty easy.

Latest version installed effortlessly. Very please with this product but just a tad expensive.

Easy to install works with APP and communication to cellphone. Carbon and smoke as well as nightlight and voice.

It's just not a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector! It senses when you're near and lights up at night (can save a jammed toe or two). Also, does a monthly self test. My first one was away which i liked because I don't think i would have liked to be home while the alarms go off (I have 5 of them). I got a notification on my cell phone (of the test). I know that the sensors know when you are away because they work with the nest thermostat that I have and it turns down the temp when away. Loved it tested while i was out...

These smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are no-brainer to own. I purchased 11 of them throughout my home and these are far more superior than your average smoke detector. One feature that I love is the motion detector night light. When I walk into any room at night the ring lights up just enough for you to see at night with the lights off. Oh it's a great smoke detector as well. It can detect the level of smoke and warn you when it detects a little smoke before the alarm goes off. They are lots of other cool features as well.

We purchased 2 of these nest alarms for our home. We travel a lot and wanted something that we could check on ourselves. These are easy to set up and work very well. The only thing we did not find out before installing them was that they do require you to check the app every day. If you do not the product sends you a notice via text massage. Our first indicator was at 3 in the morning on our travels. Now I just automatically check every day and we do not get texts in the middle of the night. Again this is a great product.

Super easy to install, we love being able to use the App to get status and the green light before bed gives me confidence that I wont be woken up in the middle of the night. We turned off the "nightlight" for our bedroom detector because it sensed us moving in bed and turned on, but it was not bright enough to wake us up.

Installation was easy. Nice app. Night light is a plus. Highly recommended.

It was time to change out our old fire detectors in the house, and i decided to use a basic brand for the rooms and up stairs hallway. I purchased the Nest for the main floor. i was happy they provided the different connector to hook up. Took about an hour to install after converting my old plug to the new one. The does everything advertised and more!! I know how have the comfort of knowing when we are not home that we will be informed something tragic happens.

Was watching reviews and being indecisive about purchase. Very glad I went with Nest/google product. Yes the CO detector part will expire in 8 years but that doesn’t bother me. Peace of mind to go on vacation and be able to see multiple detectors via app and wifi. Mine set up flawlessly with my eero mesh routers.

We have 4 of these nest smoke detectors and they wonderful! The fact that they communicate to each other which makes knowing if and where there is a problem super easy. This makes a home so much safer since you know where the smoke is at and you can avoid that spot if there really is a fire. It also alerts your cell phone through the app so even if you're not home you can tell if there is a problem and it also notifies you when the smoke clears too. I would highly recommend these smoke detectors

Remodeled my daughters bedroom and added one to the existing system. Easy to install and program!

Bought these to replace my old detectors that were over 10 years old. These were very easy to install. After taking out the old detectors, these installed in the same place as the old ones. I bought the wired version so they connected using wire nuts that were included. After that, you use the Nest app to connect it to your wireless network. I had no problems during installation and all my detectors connected together. I like the pathway light which mimics a night light when it gets dark.

Love the functionality of these NEST products! Easy installation. Wiring is simply and straightforward.

I am very pleased with these smoke detectors. No more false alarms. Easy to install, and integrates seamlessly with my Nest Thermostat.

Installs easily. Easy to configure. Operational simplicity. When alarm went off, it was quick and easy to follow up on which alarm was going off, why, address the situation and turn off the alert through a simple tap on the phone.

It’s a nice smoke/carbon monoxide detector. Works well with Nest thermostats. Super simple setup. A little pricy though.
