Bought this to integrate with the Nest Thermostat in my home. Easy installation. Easy integration. Superb device.

This is the second Nest Protect I have purchased, installed one on the main floor to test it out, and decided needed another to monitor the basement. The wireless interconnect is excellent for alerting both floors if an issue would occur (via testing). The additional benefits include the protect working with the thermostat if we aren't on the same floor so the theromstat doesn't go into away mode. Quick easy DIY installation of the 120V if your comfortable working with high voltage.

Remodeled my daughters bedroom and added one to the existing system. Easy to install and program!

Very good smoke detector with no false alarms. Love the night light. Much better than traditional smoke detectors.

Love that it talks to you and easy to install. Hate the beeping of old devices. If you have the money its worth it.

After we determined which breaker shut off the power, the installation was a breeze. It was easy to add to the other Nest items we have on the app, it checks on itself every day. There are five more to install. Look good on the ceiling.

I already had two Nest Thermostats, and when the Nest Protect V2 was announced I decided to buy a couple of those as well. The setup process was extremely simple, they were well packaged, and very easy to connect and mount (mine are wired). They seem to be working fine so far with no false alarms. Of course they haven't passed the ultimate test (my house hasn't caught fire) but I have no doubt they will keep me protected. I plan to buy several more to replace my aging smoke detectors.

Night light senses great and if perfect for Dark Hallways and getting around without disturbing anyone As for the smoke and CO, I hope to never have to find out if it works, and hope to never find out it didn’t. It’s a good backup to a standard smoke detector and provides some smart function and additional CO sensor than a standard smoke detector

Purchased a couple of these for the house and they work great. I get alerts on my phone and watch whenever they go off. They all talk to each other, give you a warning before the alarm goes off, and allow you to silence from your phone. The only con is that Google doesn't let their devices work with other company's hubs.

I love our new smoke/carbon monoxide detector. We recently bought a Nest thermostat and added this to it and I'm so glad we did. The installation was a breeze! I watched the video they have on their website on how to install in case my hubby needed help, but he was able to connected without any problems. The set up is also super fast and easy. I highly recommend this product if you like to have the capability of controlling it from your mobile device and away from home.

Very easy to install using existing wiring. Enjoy the night light feature.

I replaced my original wired smoke detectors with the Nest Protect smoke/co2 detectors. They are a little more money than your average devices but they have the extra features that make them well worth it. I really like the night light feature so when your up in the middle of the night the light illuminates your path without being too bright and waking others up when you are up. I give it 5 stars and it is an excellent product.

Super easy to install, we love being able to use the App to get status and the green light before bed gives me confidence that I wont be woken up in the middle of the night. We turned off the "nightlight" for our bedroom detector because it sensed us moving in bed and turned on, but it was not bright enough to wake us up.

I was having issues with my hard wired smoke detectors going off in the middle of the night. I replaced three of my old smoke detectors that are difficult to reach with these and I am so happy! I no longer have false alarms. They have gone off once when I burned something on my kitchen, but I was able to shut off the alarms quickly while I removed the smoke from the house. Then, I could easily make sure they were back armed and ready to go.

I have enjoyed a home full of Nest Protects for awhile now; bought one more to add it to the mix and cover every nook and cranny. Likes: integration with other Protects, connectivity via the app, heads up warnings, app-controlled regular testing. Dislike: I feel like it's just a matter of time before Google Assistant comes built in to Nest Protects; I could eliminate many devices if that were already the case!

I was initially very skeptical about spending so much money on a smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector. However, I liked the idea of being able to monitor if everything is OK and to get notifications if something were to go wrong. Installation was a breeze as I installed the wired version of the product. Only issue I had was the initial setup of the product when I couldnt get her to speak English. I had to initiate a reset to get everything back in order.

Over the years, I've pulled batteries out of many smoke detectors that just kept on beeping for no apparent reason whatsoever... Having a smoke detector that actually tells me what's wrong... that's amazing... When I filled my living room with smoke the other day, it warned me before freaking the freak out... and it allowed me to silence the alarm. When the smoke began to clear, the smartphone app let me know that it was "all clear" How amazing is that!?

I was pleasantly surprised about this product. It has many levels of smoke detection it will also turn on any google cameras you have and record the alarm event for insurance purposes I suppose or if your not home. It also has nightlight pathway lights when it detects someone and light the way at night. Very happy with this.
