Over the years, I've pulled batteries out of many smoke detectors that just kept on beeping for no apparent reason whatsoever... Having a smoke detector that actually tells me what's wrong... that's amazing... When I filled my living room with smoke the other day, it warned me before freaking the freak out... and it allowed me to silence the alarm. When the smoke began to clear, the smartphone app let me know that it was "all clear" How amazing is that!?

This is great. The pathway light at night actually does light up. I only gave 4 and not 5 star because the smoke alarm is so loud you ears ring. I get the point of being loud though.

Not the first time I have owned this product. We recently began building a new house and when it came time to choose the smoke/carbon detectors, we knew exactly which ones we wanted. Being able to keep an eyes on things, even when not at home, are a major plus and the simplistic design make this the best choice for our needs. Highly recommend.

Smoke detector is easy to install. Love the night light. And works great with my nest app

We had to get a new one of these after the CO2 sensor in our first one died out (that's pretty typical after 5 years). This latest model was easy to install, and adding it to the app was super easy. Not the sexiest smart toy to have in the house, but it's good to know it's looking out for you when everyone is sleeping.

Easy installation, easy set up, love the sensor light. And not as sensitive as my previous smoke detector

I started getting just one of the Nest smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when I was going through the yearly smoke alarm checkup. Never thought I'd return to get a second when I realized that not only can they be used in conjunction with other home automation standards, but their ability to communicate to each other is a huge plus. When seconds matter it's great to know the one in the bedroom is always aware of any status changes from downstairs.

I am not very handy with installing things that requires electrical wires however, this was a very simple install. the features are exceptional I have this in my hallway and at night when it detects you walking into the hall there is a nice dim light that comes on so that you can see where you ae going and turns off a few seconds after you exit. Love this product!

Smart smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are the way to go. What good is a smoke detector if you are not home? This will alert you wherever you are through your mobile phone. It's very easy to set up (read the instructions first). If one detector goes off, they all go off and will alert you to what room the smoke is coming from. I would definitely recommend this product.

After reading some of the bad reviews online I still took a chance because of the features .The remote monitoring, self checking, night light illumination to name a few. So far its been operating correctly but I think if you buy it locally you can see when it was manufactured because it will stop working after so many years

This is a very good product! The app works very well, and nice feature that it works as an overhead nightlight in the dark and is motion activated! Certainly would recommend to anyone! Worth the price!

Easy to install. Like the light feature at night when passing by makes seeing easy without blinding you.

Love these. We have three dogs that freak out at any random noise, and I have a husband that likes to cook and doesn't pay attention to the smell of burning. I also habitually forget to replace batteries on smoke detectors at the time change like you're supposed to. These units warn you before actually going off, with a pleasant vocal message that smoke appears to be building, giving you time to silence the alarm before it goes off and makes the dogs crazy, while simultaneously telling your husband to deal with his burning food. They also have a motion sensor when you walk into the room in the dark, they will light a dim light for you (the lighting brightness is adjustable). I get a status report from them monthly, and although they perform a test monthly, it's just a quick series of beeps, and although it wakes the dogs up, it's not enough to start a full-scale panic. If they were ever to go off when we weren't home, we'd get an alert on our phones that there was a problem, and could make sure it was addressed. Would totally buy again, even though they're an arm and a leg.

The connectivity of these make them well worth the cost, especially when pair with the thermometer. Smoke in the house? It turns off your hvac system's fan so you're not circulating it everywhere. Kitchen smoke that's not a fire? It gives you a warning that something is up before blasting an alert. Easy to avert the scramble to mute a false warning. Love them.

Our old smoke detectors were starting to fail us and we decided it was time to replace. We researched the protect and other smoke alarm systems and was in pressed with what it had to offer. We love the night light affect. We are hoping that we never have to have them go off for a fire. These were easy to install just make sure that you get the right one whether it wired or battery operated.

I have wanted one of these for a while now and finally have one set up was easy my son watched a YouTube video and came over and installed in about 10 mins, looks great and positioning is great . I’ve to have both smoke and carbon monoxide detector in one plus it announces before alarm goes off if your just cooking ( haven’t had this happen yet)
