Finally bought my 5th of these. Owned 2 at my previous home. 3 new ones at the new house. Love them, They make smoke detectors so much less abrasive, and they also provide a great nightlight/pathlight.

The Nest Protects are great. The added features of integration with other Nest products, phone notifications, verbal warning before loud alarm, the ability to silence false alarms from your phone, are worth the little bit of extra money over other all-in-one detectors.

Easy to setup and control by the App. Does use WiFi, so if you have a lot of them, could affect your network. Only big negative is price, especially when having to buy several units.

Love these Nest alarms. I have 6. They can talk to each other if there is an alarm. They test themselves once a month and you can run full test from the app. Easy to install the batterie ones and they do last a long time. Just need a AC box for the wired ones.

Sleek design, very easy to replace existing detectors and setup.

Every once in a while it will go off if an insect gets in way it will go off. This was our third one we buy. Just blow it with air spray as recommended and it clears it out. No buggy. Does send you a message on phone and will alert you in house. They talk and tell you what rm is having the problem. Really great product!

Seriously one of the best home investments I've ever made. I love that these are smoke detectors AND Carbon monoxide detectors in one unit. Also, they function as night motion-sensing night light. Definitely a plus! The unit also talks (kinda like Siri but better) and gives you plenty of warning time before it sounds off the typical smoke alarm sound. Highly Recommend!

Very easy to install. After installation was pretty easy to set up and sync with my hub. Total time was about 10 minutes. The Nest Protect looks good on the ceiling and is not the eyesore the old detectors are. I like the warning message when it detects smoke giving you time to silence it or prepare to evacuate before the alarm goes off. And the alarm is loud!

Feel safe with the nest. Easy to install and great app

Not only does it look great, but the voice on the alarm should there be smoke, carbon monoxide or burnt toast sounds better than Alexa. Then it warns you about the waring rings. If that's not enough, the whole thing can be controlled by an app on your phone. Awesome. Nest is King. Very sleek and attractive design.

Best in market money can buy. Smoke and CO2 in one and it sends you notifications. Easy to setup less than 15 minutes to activate and install. I bought all wired ones as my house is already wired. Will buy 3 more to complete my house with nest. Have nest cam and nest thermostat so every thing in one app at a simple glimpse. Enjoy....

Easy to set up and install. I like the night lite feature, no alarms yet or indication of test but seems to be working just fine.

This device is a great Smoke and CO2 detector although I wish they would release a v3 with setup in the google app completing the transition to the google nest ecosystem. Ignoring that this is a great device and better than any other smoke detector on the market, it is easy to understand and I can monitor it from anywhere. I purchased 9 for my home but had to purchase over the course of 2 days because Bestbuy has an order limit on this item, fortunately, this limit expires in 24 hours.

After years of dealing with non-smart smoke detectors in our house these Nest ones are great. No more figuring out which alarm is having an issue as these will tell you. The ability to trigger test from the app is fantastic and to not have to get on a ladder and it triggers all of them to test. The built-in microphone in each one confirms that each individual alarm is sounding correctly. Highly recommend the Nest smoke alarms. We have 12 smoke alarms in our house and I held off for years due to the expense of the Nests from upgrading to them. After having a couple of the non-smart alarms going bad after five years and having the entire house of alarms going off, and trying to figure out which one was bad with an upset child... Nothing worse than one going bad in the middle of the night. We finally decided it was time to upgrade the entire house to smart smoke alarms and decided on Nest.

Installation was a breeze. The Nest App walks you through the process. I hope that these do not have to be truly tested but feel safer knowing that Nest has me covered. I also like the background light feature on those I have installed in hallways. It provides just enough background light to see when navigating to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

cost wise, the unit is not that much more than other smoke/carbon monoxide sold else where, but it does so much more. Easy installation and setup. Im happy to say I feel so much more protected with these than my old ones.

I actually bought one last year and installed it last September or October. I had to replace two old alarms upstairs and decided to purchase this particular alarm again. It was simple to install by following the directions through the app.

I ended up getting these because I was tired of setting the alarms off by cooking bacon in the kitchen and having to wait to reset them. I also didn't have a CO2 detectors in our house. I have replaced 3/4 detectors in our home and I couldn't be happier. The set up is rather easy and the features are a huge bonus in my book.
