Easy to setup and integrates seamlessly into my nest system. Good to see battery life so I know it won't chirp if I'm on vacation.

I have 2 of the Nest protect in my home in each of the bedrooms. I like the all in one Nest app to see that everything is being checked and monitored daily. It will also let you know if you lose power in your home. I would highly recommend this product due to the 10 year life span of the product.

Picked this up to finish my swap over in my house. Like the intergration with other Nest products and how it’s a smoke and co detector. Most importantly is that it can detect both slow and fast burning fires. But hope to never have to find out. The path light is a great feature also.

I needed to replace my 20 year old smoke detectors and wanted something that I could monitor and be more updated than my old unit. It's easy to hook up and set up. I will be buying another one soon.

These are great, easy to set up and dependable. Turn off the lights and it signals you the nightly promise that it’s working while you sleep. Wake up in the night, no problem, it provides a subtle path light to guide your way, great for kids!. Easily check the status from your phone!

This is the greatest detector available. Easy to install, setup and test. The light that comes on in the dark due to motion is really great, it gives just enough light so you don't stumble around but does not wake anyone else. I really like being able to check the status on my iPhone from anywhere.

I was using an older smoke detector, and another carbon monoxide detector. This next protect does both on a single device. I was able to use the existing mount to install this which made everyone fast and simple. Highly recommend this.

The Nest Protect is easy to install and setup. You use your phone/tablet to setup the device before installing it. You use the Nest app to scan a QR code on the back of the Nest Protect to begin setup. If you have multiple Nest Protect's then you use one of the previously installed Nest Protect's to setup the new Nest Protect. One tip, you must clear the app cache for the Android Nest app before installing subsequent Nest Protects. Otherwise, setup will fail to setup the wifi connection and the error the Nest app gives is cryptic and infers a problem with your router. After setup, you can see the status of each Nest Protect and when it was last tested. Each Nest Protect will give you the status of all other Nest Protect's in your house. The wired and wireless devices are setup and function exactly the same.

Had heard mixed reviews about the gen 1 Nest Fire Alarms due to false alarms/glitches but read solid reviews about gen 2. I can honestly say after a few months in use these are worth every penny! Everything from aesthetics to functionality, technology, and design make this a top notch product.

the night light feature probably gets used the most, and i didn't think i would need it but it has been handy. the fact that your phone gets notified if the alarm goes off is a nice peace of mind as well, along with the voice confirmation of the alarm so your not left wondering what the chirp means.

This newer generation now has a lifespan of 10 years. An improvement from the previous generation. Connects up with other NEST protects. Too bad it doesn't communicate and send alerts via Alexa. No surprise I guess.

Super easy to setup. Makes life so much easier as I can turn it off from my phone without having to jump and click a button.

Works as advertised. Like that it ties in with the rest of my best products. Like that it tests itself. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive and didn’t scare the crap out of the dog.

I like how easy it was to configure the Nest CO2 / Smoke detector and how it looks in my house. I used my iPad to set it up and now I can feel safe knowing that my family is protected from both fire and CO2. I am going to pickup a 2nd Nest CO2 / Smoke detector the next time I am in the Best Buy store.

I think I prefer the battery one over the wired version. It's a smoke detector. Everyone should have one. I like it because it doesn't freak my kids out. It also talks before it starts screaming out smoke alarm.

Installation was simple and it does what it's supposed to do. Traditional smoke alarms are useless when you're not home. We have pets so I love knowing that they are safe when were away. There are plenty of other great features that this product has, but peace of mind is why I bought it.

I ordered 6 Nest Protects to set up in my house. I was able to easily connect these devices to my wifi using the phone app. I did need to rewire the ceiling connection but the part was included in the box. It had the entire house finished in less than 2 hours.

Easy to install. Both connected via blue tooth. Love the fact that it auto test each month to make sure system is running ok. It has auto sensors which lights up in the dark.

The Nest keeps you up to date on each system evaluation it does. At night, it lets you know it is working with a quick green glow. It doubles as a nightlight when movement is detected. Overall, the Nest does more than expected and those little things make the price worth it.

Love these Nest smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. For the last couple years I have had the battery version of these due to me renting an apartment and I didn't want to permanently attach them by removing the current wired ones. However I just moved into a new house and replaced every single wired smoke detector with these. I love how I can control from my phone to silence them in case I burn something in the kitchen. I also love how they integrate into my other Nest products like if one senses smoke it turns the HVAC off to keep from spreading the smoke around. It is also nice to know these self test multiple times a month to ensure they are always working correctly. It would be nice in maybe a future version Nest incorporates an air quality sensor in each unit to make them even smarter but who knows if they will. I love these units and they are so much better than the standard smoke detector in everyones home.
