Its a pretty neat device. It doesnt stand out and the nightlight is soft but luminous enough so you can see where you're going at night. You can even adjust the brightness of the nightlight.

I installed this to replace a worn out smoke detector. It was super easy to wire into the existing wires and works perfectly with the nest app. Very easy set up. Love it!

Works great. Easy to use. Integrates well with my Nest products (obviously). Smaller than it looks.

I have started to switch out all devices in the house to Nest products so that we can do everything from one app. These integrate nicely with the Google assistant as well so that we can voice activate some features.

This is a wonderful smoke and carbon monoxide/dioxide detector. The instructions are clear, the installlation is simple and the iPhone App is very friendly and helpful.. The Nest Protect works well with other Smart Home products as well.

I bought these to replace my old ones and absolutely love them. It is so nice to be able to have them connected to your phone so you can be alerted to an emergency. That piece of mind is worth the extra cost.

The second generation is definitely an awesome addition to the house. Easiest setup you've done, communicates with my other Nest detectors, and allows you to easily test its functionality on a monthly basis with no hassle. Best $99 spent!

Love the fact that this contacts us if there is a problem and we have dropped our alarm company. Love the app and have now bought the nest thermostat which integrates with the alarm and shuts off the boiler and furnace if the fire alarm goes off.

I started with one Nest Protect that I got for free from my insurance company. Since then I have added 4 more Protect's and two cameras. The setup was flawless and the products work great. Next on the list is a thermostat and deadbolt lock.

I have had nest smoke detectors in all my homes. I like that I don’t have to change the batteries every 6 months & I love that once a month they test them and notify me the results

Great product, very easy to set up very easy to connect to the Wi-Fi system. It test itself every month, one of the best safety Products I placed in my house. I changed out all seven units. There should be no house in the US without these detectors.

Installation was very easy. I like the nightlight features and the fact that Nest sends you a monthly report.

Although quite expensive for a smoke/CO2 detector, we chose to get our house connected. Activating the alarm was simple and the voice is easy to understand. Installation was simple and I assume should be a breeze for most people.

We've had our Nest Protect for a few months. While it's a bit pricey, we love that it just gives us a heads up when we're burning something in the kitchen. With a newborn in the house now, it's much more calming than a shrill false alarm.

This are very expensive. However I feel much safer in my house with them installed. The ease of checking them at your fingertips. Being able to check them, and make sure they're all working okay and I love the built in night light..

The piece of mind that these give us is priceless. I don't trust Google/Nest as a company with privacy, but they are the best in class in this particular area. These do not have cameras and they are said to not have microphones, so I did make an exception. Setup seems to require some goofy steps that you would think are not needed, at one point I thought I was going to be asked to hop on one foot while patting my head, but once they are setup they never ever have an issue and we've had some of these for probably five-plus years.

I mean, the product works great and is easy to setup, but I have kind of started questioning myself as to what I get out of these versus a traditional smoke detector, other than notification of any events when I am not home. Honestly not sure the premium price is worth the features
