I picked up a couple of these to pair with my Nest Thermostats. Main reason for getting these was so that it would turn off the HVAC system if it senses smoke or carbon monoxide. Beyond that, I can't say it has been earth shattering, or that I'm eager to change out the other 7 smoke detectors in the house. I guess I was expecting something much more next generational, being a Nest product. The night light is a cool feature.

I purchased three of these to replace eigth old (late 1990's) hard wired smoke and battery operated carbon monoxide detectors (the wife is happy seeing less clutter in the ceilings). Nest was able to integrate the carbon monoxide, small and large particle smoke detectors into the same unit. Additionally, each unit contain a motion sensor that activates a light ring enabling you or the kids to see in dark halls (the kids think they are in a space ship). I like the voice commands and that they run a self diagnostic on themselves each day. The "wired" ones are good for 10 years which average out to be approxitmately $15 per year........not bad for this type of technology and that I can monitor or have alertes sent to my smart devices.

Easy setup and ties in together with all nest products. The alarm automatically turns on the camera so you can plan accordingly. Also if you have more in different locations it tells you exactly where.

Easy integration with reliable protection. This unit is hands down my favorite smoke/carbon combo available on the market today. I highly recommend this product.

We needed to replace our old smoke detector and decided to try out the nest alarm. I like the looks of it and install was simple. That's all I can say since we haven't had a fire, thankfully.

Very easy install. I watched a video on installation and definitely was as easy as the video depicts. Purchased 3 one for basement, main level and up stairs. For a peace of mind buy these.

Great product! Had a voice issue with the first one, but the exchange was simple and we are back on our way! Beware of placement though. Our hookup is near the bathroom. The product was sensitive to shower steam at first.

In today's world, it is vitally important to stay in the know when you're on the road for business or leisure. With the introduction of smart phones and AI ( artificial intelligence), one would be considered stuck in the stone ages to not take advantage of modern day technology. Nest smoke / carbon monoxide detectors have your back by alerting you no matter where you are, at home are away. You have to download the Nest app and have a wifi or 4G connection. It will send you an alert notification of a potential hazard, which could be the difference of life and lost! Simply put, no home, sanctuary or business should be without this technology and again when life and limb is on the line, this device could give you a heads up. A great buy at Best Buy!

Noting like having something safe in your home. No complaints here. The night light that activates when movement happens is fantastic. Love it.

While it's a bit more expensive than your Kidde, it is one very nice product. I have one on every floor and I am very happy with them. They work well and give a nice night light as a little bonus.

I am sold on these. We had one at our old house and had to get them in or new house. These are easy to set up and manage through the Nest app. They are not to sensitive which helps to eliminate false alarms, and when an alarm goes off the notification is sent. One of the great additional features is the lighted ring that illuminates when you walk past. We have these set up in hallways and it's nice to have a little light at night when hall lights are off. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to looking for a smoke/Carbon Monoxide detector in a smart home setting.

Easy to install, easy app integration, nice night light feature. Does what it says, may be a bit pricey but I wanted the ability to remotely assess whether there is a fire concern and liked the dual sensor technology.

Couldn’t have been an easier installation! Great product. Basically once you turn the device on it speaks to you and walks you through all of the steps. Set up and installed 3 in less than an hour!

This is my 2nd of 4 nest protect smoke alarm. I highly recommend nest products and also have the nest thermostat. Haven't found any use yet for the nest cam and the monthly subscription is keeping it off my wish list items.

Really haven't tested it yet. It has a night light that comes on to illuminate the area when near it. It isn't really bright but works. You check and test this via the app, which is nice!

Reliable device and good to have notifications. Great as a night light in the hallway too.

Had to replace my 1st generation Nest Protect. The 2nd generation extends replacement to 10 years from the original seven. Easy to set up with the app.

Bought this to add to my other nest protects. I am replacing my smoke detectors as they start beeping with nest. Love how you can see them in the app and be notified if they go off.

Wired into house, where old smoke detector has been for ever. Simple to install, connect to internet, battery backup simple. Do a simple wifi test each week anywhere in house and hope it never goes on for CO or smoke
