I got nest detector for a gift. I was so happy, I purchased several more. Easy to set up. Easy to install. Easy to manage.

No nuisance alarms or other surprises. The only thing not great is that you don't get much time between the notification of monthly test, and it sounding. Not enough time to stop it, which can be annoying if people are home and not expecting it or a kid taking a nap.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, a smart detector that can be controlled via the Nest app. Very simple to install and set up.

I purchased this to go with my other Nest products. This is so easy to setup! I love that i can check the history. I plan on buying more.

I put up three in about 15 minutes including the initial setup with Nest software. I especially like the night light option.

Its amazing to have access to the device via your cell phone for important notifications and/or to run a status check.

So easy to install. Good looking. the most convenient is that there is a motion detector builds in,and at night it's easy to see what's in the room.

A well engineered smart device for everyone's home. Easy set up with internet connectivity to other units in the home. A must have technology to keep your family safe. Our device detected carbon monoxide in the basement. Alerted all other devices as to location of the alarm. Alarm was caused by a failing water heater burner. Without the Nest Protect we may have never noticed the Carbon Monoxide. Outstanding product.

Bought 7 of these to replace my smoke detectors. It's so much easier to silence a nest protect with your phone than to climb on a chair with a broomstick

This product was easy to add to my nest network. It does require a 110v connection. Luckily I already had one, but I'm not sure I would run an extra line to add it.

My house needs 6 of these, but I started with 1. It's easy to setup and well thought out. App to setup is also easy to deal with. So far no alarms 6 months in.

Got my protects and they were very easy to set up and integrate into my nest household. I did notice that the manufacturer date on these were in 2018 and they have a 10 year life. So I’m basically getting 8 years. Other than that very easy to use and set up.

Super easy setup, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to install the new one on my old setup, but the instructions made it so easy to install

I have a newer home with a total of seven wired smoke detectors. I have replaced five of them so I have a couple more to change out. I am very happy with the Nest Protect. Setup and installation took about 90 minutes for the first four. I’ll be installing the fifth this afternoon. I like the pathlight feature. However if you have cats like we do you might want to turn this feature off in the unit in you bedroom if you have a detector installer. I had the pathlight activated in our master bedroom and the first night the light kept coming on every time a cat walked under it.

I really love the nightlight feature on these! Also keeping me and my family from dying in a fire is a plus. Very good smoke detectors.

Expensive, but partially paying for peace of mind. Seems to work well although the house hasn't burned down to test it! Wife loves the night light feature though and being able to manage it and check status on your mobile device is nice.

This piece of technology is groundbreaking, it offers a wide range of benefits and fractures, fully wireless, smartphone app-controlled, smart and runs system check automatically, a combination of Smoke/Carbon Monoxide sensors, easy to set up and included installation manual and couple videos from Google nest on Youtube are a huge help. In addition to the preceding, it has lighting circle like a halo to light up the path beneath it any time someone passes by "path light".

Love my new Nest product I really didn't know the things this smoke detector does. Just a great product and really surprised how easy it was to set up!!!

This is a great addition for our home. Technology is impressive. Fire alarm was easy to install. Highly interactive. Home safety is improved.
