Pricey but worth it!

Being able to get live notifications when my girlfriend burns something in the kitchen is priceless! All joking aside I love that if there ever was a fire or carbon monoxide leak when I’m away from the house I’ll at least get a heads up. Also the nest protect does its own tests each month, something I’m sure most people won’t remember to do, probably ever.

Yes it’s another one of those things that you spend a bunch of money on and you hope to never use it but piece of mind knowing if everything is ok. Also it lights up from motion when lights are out not that bright but at least it does a little something although as I said I hope to never use it for it’s intended purpose

After years of having the smoke alarm go off while cooking, I was excited about the prospect of turning it off with my phone instead of having to stand on a chair. Alas, I haven’t even had to do this yet, the alarm is quite smart in terms of telling the difference between normal cooking and an actual fire situation. The motion sensor light is just an added bonus - I didn’t know I wanted that, but since it’s there, it is very convenient.
