I love the light up feature at night when I walk under it. I do not miss the annoying low battery ringing that battery operated smoke alarms have. It looks nicer then the generic alarms as well. The best app makes it easy to use. One piece of advice is to scan the QR code on the back of the alarm before it’s fully installed or else you might have to uninstall it afterwards to scan it later

The installation was easy and the nest protects works great with no issues. It also communicates with the nest thermostat.

In the end it is just a smoke/carbon monoxide detector. But for me, it gives me peace of mind and integrates great with the rest of my smart home items. If you have the Nest Thermostat already and its in a room where you might not be spending much time in, the Nest Protect helps remind your home that you're home so it keeps the heat on or if you have LifX bulbs, the protects will have the lifx bulbs flash to let you know there's danger (fingers crossed I never have to deal with that)

Love this smoke detector. Our old one just kept going off when cooking with zero smoke in the home. This then caused my German Shepard to go crazy. After installing this i can just stop the alerm before any noise going off.

Very easy to install and app worked well. Hope I never have to get a notice that smoke or CO is detected.

Love it! Great peace of mind. Appreciate how it speaks and uses pleasant tones rather than beeps and allows us to quickly cancel from anywhere if it is just smoke from something burning in the kitchen.

The product is expensive comparer to others in the market, but, it works flawlessly.

I bought 6 of these for my two story home. Extremely satisfied with their performance. Love the fact that they're dual Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide detectors in one. Also nice to be able to connect to the sensors via smartphone App so you can monitor your home and be notified of any alarms. The motion activated path light feature is also fantastic. I thought the LED lighting would be too dim for a night light but it actually works great at night when roaming the halls. Highly recommend!

Really pleased with the ease of installation and setup. Connects to wifi and gives peace of mind at and away from home.

Great device have them all around my house. They work and if there is a issue nest support has been fantastic.

The Nest Protect units are very easy to set up and get going. Not sure what else someone could ask for it to do.

The smoke detector gives me piece of mind that money can't buy, or can it? The fact that this will alert my phone when it goes off or detects anything gives me piece of mind as I leave my dog home during the day. It is also not a complete nightmare when detecting smoke. The warning is calm and easy to deactivate. The bonus feature is the motion center light. I have this in my hallway, which makes for safer bathroom trips on the night. I want one in every room!

Replaced two of these in my house on very high ceilings. Like that you can control it with your phone for false alarms including silencing it. Purchased mainly because we got tired of not knowing when the batteries were going. This gives us an indication so we can take care of it before they just start chirping. Also like the path lighting. While a little expensive it ends up costing about $1 per month per smoke detector. Overall very happy with the purchase.
