Great smoke and carbon Monoxide alarm

Currently have battery operated. Stayed with Nest because this is a great system. They are connected to each other including the Nest thermostat . If there is an issue they will turn off the furnace. Everything is monitored from my phone. Highly recommend

You can check the weekly test to make sure nest is working. The nightlight when you walk past it in the middle of the night is a nice bonus

Networking multiple Nest Protects

Our house requires two wireless access points. Our Nest Protects (we have a total of ten units) are located throughout the house, but they require connection to the same WiFi access point in order to network properly. Getting them all working together seems more fiddly than it should be. In this particular instance, one of our Nest Protects was generating an error because its CO sensor had failed. Replacing one unit took a couple of hours.
