Such a good detector and the quality is way better than any i've seen in a while. I also love the feature that turns on a light when it senses motion.

Love the ease of use and setup. Mobile alerts and remote connections make this ideal for replacing a security system fire/alarm. The only thing it doesn't do is call the fire department for you.

I recently upgraded everything in my home to nest and I love it. I like that the app did notify me when power went out in my home exactly which detectors. We’re running on back up battery. Bonus which I was really happy about was the center on the detector had a ring which senses motion and I was able to remove all of the “nightlight” is my home.

It’s a smoke / CO2 detector I hope it works but how do you know unless that unfortunate moment happens? It was an easy install took less than 10 mins.

There's always a conversation to be had from a value point of view as Nest products are always on the more expensive side. However, the products, in my experience, are always top notch and very easy to set up and use. Integrated quickly and painlessly into my smart home set up. So great.

Top features: -Nightlight (can be always on when its dark or motion sensor when dark) -Talks to you in a clear human sounding voice -Easy to cancel if something like the shower steam triggers it "smoke was detected the alarm will sound in 10 seconds" just hit the button to cancel. -Tells you what it suspects, smoke, CO etc.

Needed this to make my battery operated nest communicate with and to activate all the non nest hardwired detectors in our home. Does exactly what I expected, and to top it off it looks great. Love the smart phone sheets too, and the regularly scheduled testing. Great bang for the bucks!

I've had the Nest Protect for about 4 months now. Started with two then added two more after about a month when I received my first alarm. That alarm was from an insense stick that was burning. I like that if one goes off they all go off. The one that went off was in the basement and the other was on the second floor. I was not at home at the time and was notified by the app. This is good to have to keep track of a parents home. My brother was surprised when the alarm spoke first before going off. I like that feature. You can cancel alarm from app if you set it up or by pressing the button on the unit. I bought the other two because I was happy that it picked up the smoke from the insense. No carbon alerts yet.

Keeping the family safe, there is nothing better on the market. I bought 2 Nests then tried to cheep out and bought 2 other detectors but there is a difference, quality always bubbles to the top. Buy this and you will never regret it! I replaced the two cheep one and can sleep soundly!

Beeps when your stuff is on fire!! Great with the app. Helps locate the site of the smoke and you can turn it off if your pizza is burning in the oven.

The Nest smoke detector are very easy to program the first time, I liked.

Awesome. Operates on app for phone. I was cooking bacon, and suddenly a lot of smoke built up. Instead of sounding right away, the detector contacted my phone, and It gives a few quick seconds to silent the alarm if the area is safe. No more grabbing a broomstick and smashing the detector until it died. Also, if smoke continues, it will sound, so it is a safe product.
