||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Researched the unit and was sold on the dual sensors (photoelectric and ionization) and the fact that it was a combo smoke/ carbon monoxide unit all in one. Easy to install and like that it actually tells me where the problem is located ("There is smoke in the Hallway") and does not just blare an alarm. Much more informative and helpful.

Replacement Nest Protect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as a replacement for previously Nest Protect which quit working 1 1/2 years before its a expiration/replacement date. Hopefully the new one will last 10 years as advertised. Since it was a replacement, installation and setup took less than 10 minutes.

No 5Ghz Support

Wired better than battery

It’s a nice addition to other nest products like the thermostat. But the batteries go dead fairly quickly, so when I got a second I decided on the wired version. So much better not having to change batteries.
