No other smoke / carbon monoxide detector comes close. Are you driven nuts by beeps you can’t stop? I already had one of these, I bought another at Best Buy, but I’m about to buy two more. Best Buy has the best prices, too!

I bought this as a replacement for some non-smart smoke detectors. Set up was pretty straight forward. Very handy app is also available.

Very smart smoke alarm. I love that it parts of the nest system and that it tests itself.

I love these. They are set it and forget it but at night the night light and status indicator to remind you that everything is working properly (internet, power, air quality) is relieving. I will be purchasing more

Had this for 3 weeks now and works great. Last night my wife threw some shrimp in a pan on the stove in the kitchen. It created a little smoke. The Nest is in our upstairs hallway and it notified us about the smoke and sent a notification to both of our phones. Seems very reliable so far.

These are great. Always able to monitor your family’s safety without the unnecessary beeps or sirens.

Easy to use and it warns you ehen you’re going to set off the alarm as well as not having any false alarms. It will also tell you when you had a power outage

This is a nice addition to the new home products working with iphone. A bit on the pricey side for a smoke detector. Easy hookup

Of course it works well and fine as a smoke and carbon monoxide detector. The alarm silencing and voice alerts are great features. I really love the pathlight function. We have one at the top of our stairway and it is really convenient to have the light come on at night to guide your way.

5th one, have st 2 more and I will have replaced all in the whole house, garage and she shed.

This smart smoke detector has audible voice notifications and phone notifications. I like that it warns you before going off and that you can silence it. This is especially helpful when cooking.

No more late night wake up calls for low batteries. Pathway lighting is decent in the dark. Great upgrade but pricey when replacing the entire House with 14 detectors. We just did one on each floor

We have been using these in our home for several years. One of our other smoke detectors needed to be replaced so I bought a few new ones. One worked great but the second was defective. It took almost two weeks of working with Google support to get them to replace it. Terrible experience with Google but I'll continue to use these.

I started with the Nest Thermostat and was then hooked on growing my Nest family. Added a total of 3 Nest protects after receiving a free protect through rebate. Protects work well, I haven't had a delay in the receiving of the notification, when smoke goes off. No complaints so far.

This is our second home in which we have use Nest products. This Nest Protect is not only a smoke detector, but also a CO detector. The best feature is when CO is detected, it stops the furnace from operating and continuing to spread CO throughout the house.

This product it is simply spectacular.. No more annoying smoke alarm sound. The Nest product speaks on a pleasant way and it differentiates smoke form carbon monoxide. Also, it tells you through the app if the levels of smoke/CO are going up or down.. I will absolutely recommend this item..

This is a very good product. Where each nest smoke talks Tom each other it assures you and early warning should there be an emergency

At first I had problems connecting to my WiFi but I got by that step. I may still have to set up a WiFi extender to insure that my connection is always in place. The only other snag to installation was I installed the mounting plate on one of the Nest units upside down and I believe the instructions could have been a little more definitive on how to mount. Other than that, I like the quality of the Nest Smoke/CO Detector units very much. All in all, a quality system of home protection and easy to add on to,

We purchased 6 of these and they to date work great no issues would recommend to any one who wants peace of mind and cam monitor from cell phone will shut ac unit if problem is detected and call fire department

Replaced old smoke detector with co2 aNd smoke detector to avoiding two into single device along with dump device replacing batter every year instead of smart and path light very good and like self testing option instead of assuming
