Just replace the original plug to the supplied plug very easy ,love that it talks to you. Only problem was lining up the tabs on detecter on to the base plate ,not easy when you Are on a ladder.

Wanted a CO detector and this was perfect. Easy to install and I love the way it lights up at night if you walk past it.

These are a must have! We are slowly changing out all of ours. They perform their own self tests, send you alerts if something is wrong and light up when you walk under them so you don’t have to turn on any lights.

Having used the Nest protects in a previous house I was very familiar with this product. The company has made some minor but ideal improvements to this device. The form factor has been upgraded and is much less vulnerable to braking the mounting hooks for the detector.

I like a lot about the Nest detector. One of the things I like best is that when I turn the lights off at night to go to sleep, it has a green ring around it to let me know it is alert. If I don't see the green ring, I know there may be a problem.

I purchased the Nest detector because of the new law in MD where you needed to upgraded your smoke alarms. So I figured why not go for a smart one if I have to upgrade. It goes with my Nest thermometer and they can both my controlled from a smartphone app.

These units have reached a level of reliability that is comparable to the standard alarms. With this, it makes it easy to silence when kitchen smoke fills a rooms and and work together as a network. Recommended.

If you have the nest thermostat & drop cams, this product fits in very nicely. It incorporates itself into the Nest app so you always know the status of each individual Nest Protect detector. This is comforting if you have pets who are at home while you are at work!

great unit a bit pricy but i do like that the units communicate to each other

Can't say enough good things about the Nest Protect. This is our 3rd one, one for each floor. Love that you can check on it remotely and also for the family room downstairs, you can check for Co2 as well. Highly recommended.

easy setup. works exactly as expected. when you don't hear it, it's a good thing!!!

In order for this product to have a perfect rating it should be updated to allow it to transmit a signal to other Smoke Detectors onsite so that the Nest system will alert the other onsite units. This is possible with other manufactures, but not with Nest. Full integration should be the standard, why be half protected?

you can get notifications through your phone with regards to battery and does daily/monthly test to make sure it is working

I love this smoke detector. I love the wired and wireless capabilities and I love how it fits seamlessly into the nest suite of products. I really like the pathway light feature. Now I can get rid of some of those night lights for when you walk around at night.

Great device. Yes smoke alarms are not sexy - but between the monitoring without a contract, self testing and guidepath lights that come on at night (motion activated) it is an awesome device. Got a bunch of them all tied in and working with other devices.

The nest carbon/smoke detector is a great product. Until I switched out units I had so many false readings. The self test alerts me remotely and when I'm not home. The sensor for lighting is perfect at the top of stairs which also gives another layer of safety

Works great so far only time will tell if it out does standard detectors. Expensive as all nest products are, overly so.
