Our dog goes crazy when the battery alert chirps. I set off the alarm with my cooking. Nest protect never chirps and, it you activate it with a little kitchen smoke, it just gives you a gentle heads up. Love it!

it seems a little pricey but it is good protection - peace of mind -or should be - hav'net had to use it yet

I love the features and look forward to being protected for a long time. Just wish they weren't so expensive.

The smoke detector works great if you have multiple smoke detectors in the home - I would make sure that you look to see if you are going to go with wired or battery since wiring takes a bit more time.

I love the product and the concept is awesome! Was just a little tricky on set up with connecting to the WiFi. And side note: the one it replaced was on the side of a wall up high, not the ceiling, so the whole it lights up when you walk past feature doesn't work, a little bummed about that. Thought its sensors would still pick up movement.

Great product. Easy to install if compared with other brands

Great product when working but randomly signs you out of your account giving you NO control over any of the alarms. I couldn't imagine being away and can't get alerts or see what is going on in my home because I forgot my google password. That is a major flaw that needs to be addressed.

I replaced all the smoke detectors at home, big piece of mind,this things checked the entire house once per month,no more annoying beeping in the middle of the night

I feel SO much safer now with these installed in my phone. Not only for fire/smoke but also for the carbon monoxide! Have had ZERO problems with setup or "false" alarms that other folks have had. Great product, great app, easy setup!

Works great.. but pricey for something that expires.

This is still the best smoke alarm on the market. It detects carbon monoxide, and both types of fires, and it announces the room with the issue.

I like the way it lights up at night so you can easily see walking in the hallways.

Was hesitant to spend this kind of money on a smoke detector but I am glad I did. Worth every penny as the smart features make this device super simply to use. Now have replaced all my smoke detectors with this smart style.

This was the best Smart Smoke Alarm on the Market. Its important to make sure you pay attention to whether or not you are purchasing the battery or wired one.

Great smoke and CO2 detected that can be hooked up easily and have notifications sent to phone. If you by multiple they all sync together

While it’s rough to justify the price they are easy to setup and like the pathway feature

Installed this in my basement after a remodel and connected to the rest of my house with no problem. It took less than 5 minutes to install and get connected to the app.

This is my second Nest Protect and my family could not be happier. Luckily, we haven't had it go off for a fire, but it has warned of smoke before (my mother-in-law's cooking). Great to have the app on the phone for notifications too!

Combination smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, that not only alarms but has voice message letting you know what is going on. Plus alerts your phone in the event of an emergency when you are not home.
