Great Thermostat

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had an old Thermostat from when our house was built 8 years ago and we knew that maybe it wasn't working the best but we couldn't afford to just get an expensive brand new one. After looking at this one and the Nest 3rd gen I noticed they were almost identical in specs with just 2 or 3 things that we didn't use different about the 3rd gen. So far this one has exceeded our expectations!!!

Great Product but could not use

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give it a 5 star because I really like the Nest, but didn't find out until after I purchased that it would not work with my particular Carrier system we have at a second home. I do fault the information available as I researched this a lot before purchasing. Fortunately, once I had it and did even more research, I saw that it was not compatible with my particular (older) system. If you like Nest and you do have Carrier, do a lot of research first. I "think" it may work on some newer systems, but you need to check it out.

Nice addition to a Smart Home!

First the service provided by Google Nest was great. Before you even buy you can there online chat line to assist if their product is compatible. Once that is confirmed they email you all the instructions for connecting the new thermostat. Love the remote access app and compatibility with both Alexa and Google Assistant
