Great While it Lasted...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I bought the nest 2 days ago and it was working perfectly fine the first 2 days, then comes the next day and it says theres not power to R wire. Well we check the breaker and reconnect everything and it takes a while and starts working again. Then, this issue happened about 4 times that day. Till I decided to call Nest and they said it might be an issue with the device. So I exchanged with another Nest and this time even worse the device doest even turn on. We re installed previous thermostat and everything is working fine and no issues. Definitely DONT recommend Nest as much as I would like to because of its nice design and modern aspect. NOT Worth it! Read these reviews before buying.

Posted .We're sorry to hear about these issues you've experienced with the Nest E. Unlike traditional thermostats, the Nest base is able to physically and electrically detect the wires secured to the base. This means if the voltage coming from the wires drops below 24V then a power error will come up indicating there isn't enough power to control the system properly.
In most cases, if you're seeing the power error come and go, this can be an indication of a clogged drain pan or drain pipe causing the float switch to cut power to the system until the water level drops. This could also be caused by a clogged air filter.

Fantastic thermostat

It works like a dream and I love being able to increase the heat in the morning just by telling Alexa to do so. (It is programmed but sometimes my schedule changes). When I’m gone, I can check the thermostat setting on my phone and turn up the heat just before I get home. I love this thermostat so much I bought a second one for my rental.

I have noticed a huge saving in my utility bills because now it is locked from kids messing with temperature constantly. I gave them a range of 4* to adjust and that’s it. Anything else needs my approval (on my phone)! I love that it’s intergrated with Alexa and connects to my alarm system as well. My house is smarter with nest!
