Posted .Nest Thermostat is able to be set to Heat, Cool, Heat /Cool, or Eco mode — here’s how:
1. Tap the touch bar to access the Menu.
2. Slide your finger to Temperature mode, then tap to select.
3. Slide your finger to the mode you want, then tap to set it.

Fantastic addition to home thermostat

Especially with the rebates available in many states (cost ~$50 here in Massachusetts with an instant rebate when purchased through BestBuy).

Didn't like it because it was fiddly to use (instead of turning you touch the right side. It was easy to install and worked first time, but didn't like using it (got 2 Nest already) so returned it.

Regarding the behavior you observed with the thermostats, we'd like to know more about it to understand and offer a resolution. However, if the thermostats kick in at random times on their own, we recommend checking/clearing the existing schedules and temperature presets.
