    i think the budget version (this one) is perfectly acceptable and did everything i needed it to. i bought this for my brother and set it up. i have the higher-end version and i can't tell any difference. it's great and the app is great

    Overall easy to install and set up application. This is not a touchscreen, and it can be tricky to get the hang of navigating the seamless scroll bar on the side to toggle to different zones. Looks really nice in the room.

    This thermostat is fantastic and has helped us save on our crazy high summer energy bills. We have it programmed to turn off whenever we leave the house so we're not wasting electricity cooling an empty home in the dead of Texas summer, and it kicks back on automatically when it detects we're home. They're also quite sleek in appearance.

    Overall a good product, works well and easy to install. I did not like having to go online to get installation instructions. Also they did not clearly describe how to use the unit as far as adjusting and making menu selections. They should have done that first. Optional Backplate should have been included.
