No issues so far.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the Google pixel 8 since it's releasing and so far so good. It's fast, responsive and some issues such as over heating has not been an issue for me. It's a no thrills phone that is small/compact and l like that there's also no bloat ware. Camera and taking pics is clean but I'm not a photographer so really can't comment compared to other phones.

Software trumps Hardware
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The standard Pixel 8 is probably the best "Small" android phone one can buy currently. The software is phenomenal and Google is promising 8 years of parts availability and software updates to top it all off. The upgraded camera sensors on top of Google's excellent camera software make this potentially the best Smartphone Camera for regular pictures on the market. The photo app is easy to use and makes light editing on the go easy. Then there's the awesome Pixel Exclusive perks, like call screening where you can have the Google assistant answer unknown calls for you and ask who it is or whatever else you ask it to say then show whatever the caller responds with as text for you to read on the screen in real time. The phone can also wait on hold for you and automatically switch you back to the call when you're taken off of hold. On top of many other Quality of Life things that can be found only on pixel phones. Battery life out of the box is okay, but give it a few days and once the phone learns how you use the phone battery life will improve to what I consider "good".

This phone and camera are amazing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Google Pixel 8! From start to finish, using the Pixel 8 has been a pleasant experience. This review will focus mostly on the camera and AI editing tools, but there's a lot more to love also. Coming from an older pixel phone, setup was a breeze. The Pixel 8 walks you through the process of moving everything over from the old phone to the new phone, including app data and settings so that (almost) everything looks and works just like you're used to. There were a few apps that needed a bit more input from me to get set up properly, and one app that turned out to be incompatible because it was so old. The camera is utterly amazing, even on the non- "pro" version of the Pixel 8. The macro camera is wonderful. The cameras switch seamlessly between macro and regular and even this non-professional photographer can get clear close ups. See the flower pic, taken from about 2cm away. The camera has an 8x zoom, which isn't much but the clarity of the resulting image is impressive. The photo of the stone structure was taken from 150 yards away using the 8x zoom. A new feature is the "Best Take" option. If you take a series of similar photos, like 5 pics of a family, the Best Take option will scan the 5 photos and make suggestions to take the best of each photo to make a better resulting photos. Did someone blink in an otherwise good photo? The Best Take can shift that person's face from another photo into the best photo. Magic Editor is an AI editor that seems to do a nice job at enhancing photos without going overboard. The second picture of the stone structure used the Magic Editor to bring out more of the background sky as it actually appeared, and not washed out due to overexposure. I also appreciated the photo unblur options, which again were subtle and not overbearing. For video editing, one feature I like is that background noises can be seamlessly removed with the AI tools, such as background wind.

Best companion phone!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The kind of phone which I was looking for. - Astounding camera - You shouldn't be a pro at taking pictures. But, after work by the software, give the photos professional in all angles. Very good at bad light or during night. - No software glitch - Overall very smooth to handle. I did not notice any lags in switching between the apps or open heavy loaded games. - Software updates - No need to say, since it's Google! - Photo editing with AI. One of the editing features let me change my facial expression in a picture where I closed my eyes or looked somewhere or something else. This feature made my jaw drop. There are many other features to explore! Overall, the best phone at this price. Those who like Android should definitely use this phone once and see what magic this phone does. Cons: - Sometimes, feel the heat close to the camera. But, its rarely noticeable.

Android's iPhone is pixel 8
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a flagship smartphone released by Google in late 2023. It featured notable improvements in camera technology, a custom-designed Google Tensor SoC for enhanced AI capabilities, and an updated design and form factor The camera system on the Pixel 8 was praised for its image quality and computational photography capabilities, which are areas where Google's Pixel series has traditionally excelled. The Tensor SoC 3 was designed to optimize AI tasks, which contribute to various features like better speech recognition and improved image processing. Additionally, the Pixel 8's new design language with its distinctive camera bar across the back. It was available in different color options and offered a range of storage capacities of which hazel was my favorite pick, In addition to the phone I also received pixel buds pro as a introductory offer which is amazing.

Excellent Pixel Experience, Minor Feature Missing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is really good with great performance, display, and sound quality. The only downside is the lack of a native call recording feature, which I miss. Other than that, everything works smoothly, and I'm very happy with the product.

Pixel 8 Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall has been a great phone. Everything is fast and the camera lives up to the hype. I have had battery issues twice now, where the battery heated up and quickly drained itself. I couldn't tell what caused this, and it hasn't happened since. So far I have had no connection issues on or off wifi. I am hopeful that battery issues will be patched in the future and won't be a recurring problem. Usually, I get a full day of battery with no problem, having a screen on time of over six hours. Customization is nice, however, you can't move the Google search bar from the bottom unless you use a third-party launcher. I got used to this, but it did throw me off at first. Overall, I would recommend this device to anyone interested in an Android phone, for the money it is a great deal.

Pixel Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value for the money. The Pixel 8 is a perfect size for one hand operation and the new chip runs much cooler than Pixel 6 or 7 did making it comfortable to use. The camera is excellent as expected, reliably getting a good shot the first time. They've improved the reception over the last generation. I've found connectivity excellent so far. Gaming is even on the table as well. During play it will get warm and it will kill battery quickly(as expected) but things run pretty well. The display is nice, bright and sharp with up to 120hz refresh making scrolling a pleasant experience. If you are in the market for a new device and don't want to break the bank it's hard to go wrong with the eight.

Great phone. Very few like it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Almost perfect. There just aren't many phones like it. Near perfect size (pixel 5 was the perfect size imo, and its basically the same width and just a few mm taller). Screen is outstanding. Haptics are perfect. And the cameras are about as good as you can get at this size and price. I have no real use for a 5x zoom so this is just fine for me. Also, there are basically no mainstream phones available with a wide angle selfie camera. Pixels are basically the only ones, so I appreciate that they keep it year after year. Battery life gets me well through a moderate day of use. But I still long for the battery life of the pixel 5

Just what I was looking for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone for my 60 year old dad and he loves it! It's super easy for him to use and he loves the camera quality as he has to take pictures for his job. He previously had an old Samsung phone but I wanted to upgrade him to something better that was within my budget so I did some research and comparisons and this was a prefect match. Would definitely recommend this product to any one looking to purchase a new phone.

Excellent phone fast and reliable
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally I don't do reviews but after reading such an absurd comment from the first review I decided to write about this phone because clearly that person was left in the past along with the navigation buttons. The Pixel 8 is a great fast smartphone with a spectacular screen and a camera that many of your friends with iPhones will envy you when taking photos. The processor is powerful enough to perform tasks without complications. I have the iPhone 15 pro as my other personal phone I can feel any difference. The only weak point for me is the battery which is enough for a day of use but I would have liked it to last a little longer, Although this can be improved with a software update. I am a sales person with cell phones and I recommend this device one hundred percent.
