Honest review becuse I was a fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had 3 pixels watches and there is no need to upgrade to the 3. Gemini does not work with passcodes security devices. So your garage door and front door device still needs Google Assistant. Battery life the same, unless you let it dim. Badically it was tweak to seem better, stay with the 2.

Posted .Hi there, MattD. We hear your concern regarding battery life on the Pixel Watch 4. Here are some tips to reduce battery consumption and get more daily use out of your watch:
Shorten the screen timeout: Swipe down, tap Settings > Display > Screen timeout, and choose a shorter time, like 15 seconds. This means your watch goes to sleep more frequently when you're not using it.
Turn off Always-on Display: Swipe down and then tap Settings. Tap Display and then turn off "Always-on Display".
Turn off the Tilt-to-wake feature: Swipe down and then tap Settings. Tap Gestures and then turn off "Tilt-to-wake".

Best Buy is a customer care dumpster fire
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the worst experience I've had with bestbuy. I bought a used "excellent condition" watch. When it arrived, it had clearly not been deactivated by its previous owner. I took it to the geek squad who said they could not unlock it but if I went to customer service, they would exchange it for a new one. Customer service said they would exchange it, but then tried to charge me the difference. When I objected and explained the situation, they again said they could exchange it, but it would cost me the difference. They even tried to convince me that I was getting the new watch at a discount because I was only paying the difference, not the full price. This of course was stupid because I would be paying full price, just in two difference installments and after a lot of wasted time. I ended up just returning it and making a complaint with corporate customer service. They assumed me they would look into it and send me an email within 48hrs explaining their findings. There was no email. There were no findings. I'm sure the pixel watch 4 is great. I wouldn't know. I am quite sure, however, that Best Buy is terrible when it comes to ensuring satisfied customers.

Excellent watch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I am an avid smartwatch collector, mostly of the Samsung variety. I just like the platform and functionality but I could not resist this beauty. The Pixel watch 4 is very sleek looking, fits well on the wrist and has been a pleasure to use, even if it uses the Wear OS. Since it is the straight OS, it took me a day or two to get used to it but since I have, I have to say, I really enjoy this watch. It tracks your steps and fitness through the fitbit app, has multiple faces and customizations to play with and excellent battery life (3+ days so far). It is very comfortable and the screen is nice and sharp. Colors are excellent, vibration is strong and notifications seem to come through a little faster than my other daily watch. The band, while functional, is not my favorite and I will probably change it out. It is easily attached and removed, but pretty comfortable. Using the small version, I found it to fit perfectly. The charger, on the other hand, is a magnetic proprietary charger, meaning I could not use my aftermarket stand charger, which is a half star off but, since we can not do that, this watch still remains a 5 star. It has survived my pool, chicken pecks, dogs, and daily wear and tear for 2 weeks and looks brand new. Excellent watch!

solid display but, not much else
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pixel watch 4 (fat version) is a nice looking watch. It's sporting that domed glass that looks so good on these smartwatch displays. In the box you get the charger, bands, watch, and some documentation. That's it. Setup is ... bad. It's not a good experience. This is paired with a newish pixel phone, so I'd expect the process to be simple. It was anything but. So the first thing I do is unbox the watch and get it charging while I look up the instructions via the qr code. Not much information there so I just wing it. The watch didn't boot up immediately on the charger, I had to hold the crown to get it to start up but then we were off. From powering on to being a usable smart watch probably took a total of 15 minutes. But then there were updates. And restarts. So we're talking closer to 45 minutes before the watch is in a usable state. Great that's one done. Next step. Attach the band. This tested my sanity to its limits. I have no idea who decided this was the right way to attach/detach a watch band to a watch, but it is honestly the worst thing that's ever happened on this planet. I almost boxed the watch up right there. I'm reading instructions, looking at diagrams, looking at videos, and yet the band remained unattached. You have to hold the band at an angle and force the lower side into its slot with the force of a thousand suns, then slam the other side down into the slot before it knows what happened. If you're lucky the band has been successfully attached. If not, you are now insane. So band attached, cool. Now let's dig into the health features. Huh ... gotta log into fitbit. Cool cool I had an existing account. This was the next hurdle. When I entered my credentials the fitbit app said I had to be logged out so I could log in through pixel watch. So it logs me out and I log back in, receive the same message, rinse and repeat. I actually never solved this, I could not break the loop. After about twenty minutes the app decided that my multiple logins were good enough and health data finally started syncing. So how's the experience so far? It's just ok honestly. I like the look of the watch, but it's much more uncomfortable than what I'm used to wearing. Wear it loose or tight, doesn't matter, this thing is irritating. This is a me problem though right? It might be the most comfortable wearable you've ever use ymmv. The health tracking features are what I'm really interested in here, but the watch behaves oddly. At times it doesn't seem to record and other times it records data that doesn't exist. Example: took the watch off for awhile because it was irritating me. Put it back on after an hour or so and it had added some 300+ steps despite neither the watch, or phone, being on my person. Weird. So i don't know how reliable the health tracking on this thing is. It created heart rate data from whole cloth while the watch wasn't being worn. I don't know what's going on here, but I certainly wouldn't rely on this thing to actively monitor your health Aside from the very questionable health tracking features I guess you can use it as a very tiny screen if that's your thing. It works well for quickly browsing through notifications, the screen is actually great for that, but you're always going to be better off going to the phone. I don't like my watch ringing and vibrating all the time and unfortunately there are multiple menus and methods for silencing the watch, which work to one degree or another. For granular control, use the pixel watch app for per app notification control - although some of them cannot be disabled (e.g. phone). For brute force stop everything, you can silence everything from the quick actions toggle (pull down from the top of watch). I'd like to have the silence control available in the pixel watch app, but that's a minor nitpick Uh what else ... battery life is good I guess. Dunno, very underwhelmed with this one. Watch is uncomfortable, erroneously reports data when it isn't even being worn, has the most difficult to attach watch band I've ever seen, and has a proprietary charger (charges pretty quickly tho). I'm not gonna recommend this one. Hopefully another band will make it more comfortable and updates will sort out whatever is going on with health tracking. Can't recommend it right now.

Posted .Hi there, SoleimanB. Sorry to see you're having some glitches on the Pixel Watch 4 — we totally understand the frustration. A quick restart will normally resolve most issues — here’s how:
1. On the watch, press and hold the crown for 3 seconds.
2. Scroll down and tap Restart.
3. If your watch screen is still unresponsive after a restart, perform a hard reset. Long press the crown and side button for about 35 seconds (may take longer) until the "G" logo appears. The watch should restart and be usable again once the restart completes.

Does not track sleep
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Pixel 4 watch, advertised for sleep tracking is absolutely horrible at it. The watch after 10 days of tracking does not show actual sleep patterns just tries to say good sleep all the time. Even when I was clearly awake on the phone talking with someone at midnight and 530 am the watch tried to say I was in deep sleep during those times with a heart rate that never fluctuates at night at all basically a flat line from the time I turned on the night mode to turning it off in the morning. If you are looking to track your sleep consider a different smart watch.

Posted .Hi there, ChadC. We’re sorry to see the Pixel Watch 4 may not have been the best fit for you. We hear your concerns on wanting more consistent sleep tracking — here are some troubleshooting to get your device running optimally:
1. Check if your sleep setting is set to Sensitive. If it is, change it to Normal.
2. For accurate sleep tracking, position your device 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone, ensuring a secure but comfortable fit.
3. To adjust a sleep session’s start or end time, edit it in the Fitbit app.

Best Pixel Watch To Date
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an owner of a Pixel Watch 2 (41mm), I was eager to get my hands on the Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) with promised, improved battery life. The battery life is rated by Google to be "up to 40 hours" and I believe I am getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-32 hours. The watch does offer a "fast charge" of 50% in 15 minutes, or 80% in 25. Essentially, shower time becomes watch charging time! My settings are: - Bluetooth ON (paired with Pixel 9 Pro) - Wi-fi OFF - Brightness 1+Adaptive - Screen timeout 15 sec - Tilt/Touch to wake (not always on) - Vibration ON, sound OFF - Bedtime mode ON (after 11p) - Location ON COMFORT: I find the watch to be very comfortable and lightweight. The band is comfortable with the straps tucking away so that they don't snag on anything. The watch fits well under a dress shirt with buttoned sleeves. DISPLAY: I like the brightness and clarity of the display on the 45mm watch. I find it crisper than the 41mm Pixel 2 I was used to. I really like the curved edge of the watch, but...I would like to put a screen protector over it as I managed to crack the screen of my Pixel 2 early on. Unfortunately, finding a decently rated protective film for Pixel watches is difficult as most products are poorly rated, with "bubbling" issues and "curved edge of the Pixel limiting the effectiveness of the screen protectors." NAVIGATION: Using the crown as a push button to activate the list of apps, and to scroll up and down, is MUCH BETTER than some other watches (i.e. the Samsung Ultra 7) that have a functionless crown and rely on swiping the tiny screen. FEATURES: The SOS feature is nice, although I hope I never need it...and I am not 100% sure I will remember to "press the crown 5 times, then hold the screen for 3 seconds" if I am in panic mode. It is nice that I can opt to default SOS to call emergency services OR to call a trusted contact such as a spouse or relative. AI integration is, well, it is what it is. "Hey Google" is nice to use and I use it a few times a week on my phone...just not sure I need AI on a watch. This watch has upgraded GPS antennas vs. my Pixel 2 watch--which was always at odds with my phone and my wife's Samsung watch when we would go on walks. It will be interesting to see if the phone and watch are in better GPS agreement moving forward. The fitness app is solid, to the degree you can trust any fitness app. I do like the ease of which you can get readings and record your activities. Same with the SLEEP analysis. Very cool charts and details but I have no way to verify the accuracy of the sleep data. Loss of pulse detection and crash/fall detection are nice, new-to-me safety features I have turned on. SpO2 (oxygen levels in blood) readings are something that I like to look at randomly and can provide important data for people with conditions like sleep apnea. Lastly, lots of watch faces to choose from. All are fun and useful. CONS: Only a few, starting with "I am perplexed as to why setting an alarm on my phone doesn't also ring my watch like it used to." I am sure I have to toggle a setting somewhere but with a watch that has SO MANY FEATURES, finding the right setting (on the watch screen) to do some of the simple stuff can be challenging. Another SERIOUS disappointment for me is that this watch will NOT use a Pixel 2 or Pixel 3 watch charger. Instead, the watch is "side mounted" for charging. I guess this is so it can function as a "clock" on your nightstand while charging. Sadly, I now have to buy another charger so that I have one for travel and one for home. Overall, this watch is a winner! I do wish someone would create a practical 7-day charge, thin smart watch but the Pixel 4 watch is a huge improvement to its predecessors.

Complete WASTE of money and time.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On my 2nd PS4. Had to exchange because the first PW4 couldn't last more than 48 hours without a factory reset, I had uninstall/reinstall apps just to get them to work. I get a replacement, and the replacement watch broke in less than 12 hours. I barely had the new one set up! Definitely returning; whoever is giving this watch any positive reviews is gaslighting themselves. For my first smart watch ever, it has definitely made me NEVER want another "smart watch" again.

phenomenal piece of wrist tech
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google Pixel Watch 4 in 45MM is one of the most fun smart watches I have ever had the chance to use. It pairs and continues to pair so well with my google pixel pro 10. The domed display is incredibly cool to look at and interact with and the fact that it is a nice size makes it incredibly legible. Google calls the display a 360 Actua display (look it up they explain it really well) but I highly recommend if you are on the fence for purchasing this product that you go to a store and see one in person because it is very impressive. Google states that you will get roughly 40 hours of battery life which is exceptional but with my testing I get a little bit less than that (I can't give a true estimate because the watch doesn't leave my wrist unless I am charging it) but I can wear the watch all day and night and the battery lasts. The AI built into this is also very cool, if you are into fitness, then this will provide personalized fitness plans. Those work and are very cool. I also love that Fitbit and Google are completely integrated (since the acquisition) and I was excited to see how they would make it work. It is a fantastic user experience. Having Gemini on my wrist happens to be extremely useful and I have been interacting with it a lot more than I thought I would. Asking it random questions throughout the day or having it feed me location information is incredibly useful, especially when out on a run. I am also a big fan of the additional strap options and plan on purchasing the metal bracelet for it. I highly recommend the pixel watch 4 and truly believe it is the best competitor to the Apple Watch.

Pixel Watch 4 knocks it out of the park
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pixel watch 4 is a great place to jump into the android watch ecosystem. First off this will not work with an apple iPhone, so if you don't have an android phone don't bother. Pairing the watch with my pixel 9a phone was simple enough by following the directions on the screen. The band it comes with was sufficient to get started but lots of options out there. Battery life is decent I can get about two days of wear on it before I need to charge it, but the charger is shining star. It lets you charge it in a sort of dock mode which is handy and it charges very fast, 40 minutes from dead to full charge is pretty impressive. Customization on the watch was great, I found some premade watch faces on the google play store that fit what I was looking for or you can spend the time to make your own. The touch screen works well with no complaints. I like the ability to see all my notifications, and health information at a quick glance. If you are trying to move from the apple ecosystem to android I will say nothing feels closer to an apple watch than this pixel watch from google. Sleep tracking is excellent and I don't feel like I even notice I have it on most of the time. All the health tracking is done through the fitbit app, and I feel like it does a stand up job at it. It even is smart enough to detect the activity I'm doing and ask to confirm the activity type and length. Overall very happy with the watch and all it brings to the table, would recommend.
