I've been using Chromebooks since it was available. Most of them are low end devices and non of them delivered the power to render web pages in its full potential. This one is not the Chromebook I used to use. Very happy to browse with enough power to stream 4k, etc.

Love the product and the design of the foldable hinge. My one and only complaint is that I wish you could detatch the display from the keyboard ( key feature in the new Google product ). Apps run great, and new features and functions are constantly being added.

    The Ultimate Chromebook

I’ve owned a couple Chromebooks in the past, but none of them could compare to the Pixelbook in terms of power or build. One of my only real complaints about my previous Chromebooks was the build quality. Don’t get me wrong, they still worked very well, but it was extremely clear that I paid less than $400 for them. Even though it’s a cliche, it’s still true: you get what you pay for. You are paying for the premium build and specs with the Pixelbook, but wow, it is SOOOO worth it! I can’t stress enough how much I LOVE the hardware. The Pixelbook has an aluminum body (with a class panel on the back for that Pixel Phone look), a gorgeous 3:2 display, and one of the best laptop keyboards I’ve ever used. I do wish that Google included the Pixelbook Pen in the box for the price of the Pixelbook, but that’s probably my only complaint. Moving over to software, this is the same Chrome OS you know and love (which shouldn’t come as a surprise). The only difference is that this Chromebook has a 7th gen i5 and 128GB of flash storage to allow the OS to really stretch its legs. It doesn’t matter how many tabs I have open in Chrome, what I have running in the background, I have yet to see the Pixelbook slow down. Speaking of software, you can access and download Android apps. Not all the apps work on the Pixelbook (Lineage 2: Revolution is unresponsive and the Facebook app really only works well if kept minimized as if run on a phone), but the important apps I use regularly (Outlook, Netflix, and OneDrive) work just fine as if I was using any other Android tablet. Would I recommend the Pixelbook? Yes, but only if you’re already using Chrome OS. As much as I love the hardware and experience, the Pixelbook is a very expensive way to jump into Chrome OS. If you have an older Chromebook and want to stay with the OS and keep the insane battery life, yes, the Pixelbook is worth every penny. PROS: - Premium build quality - Gorgeous display - One of the best keyboards on a laptop - Outstanding battery life with fast charging - Access to the Google Play Store CONS: - The Pixelbook Pen isn’t included - Not all Android apps work well with Chrome OS (this isn’t limited to the Pixelbook)

This computer has been great so far for me and my wife. I've used it for school and I can have pretty much as many pages as I want up and it doesn't slow down. My wife uses it for her photography business and it works great the picture is so clear.

great high-end Chromebook. if you can justify the high price for a Chromebook, the hardware is beautiful and the performance is still high years later and still outperforms mid-level alternatives

I love that the pixel book functions as a laptop and tablet! It flawlessly switches between the two! I also love how well the pen writers and the ability to highlight or circle images and words and let google assistant pull up more info.

Great device, terrible Google product support!

I love my Pixelbook and Chromebooks in general. However, if something goes wrong from a hardware standpoint while under warranty, forget about it. Google hardware support is friendly, but awful. I have dead pixels on my display panel. I’ve been trying for 5 days to get Google to replace the panel under warranty. I’ve sent over 10 images of the defect and corresponded via Chat and e-mail. Their support is slow, and just off alltogether. If you sell a premium product, be prepared to support it when something goes wrong. If not, expect to never see the customer again. Google can do better and should. PS, I am Best Buy Elite...not another whiny customer.

I’m an Apple guy but this is better than the IPad Pro and MacBook Air! Super fast, better specs, touch screen and I love the flipping monitor option. Amazing Cyber Monday deal for $699!

This Google product presents superior performance in a 12.3" laptop with substantial built-in storage. Enough memory to easily run memory-hungry online programming environments. Who needs a Windows or Mac laptop when you have one like this?

I truly do believe that this laptop is wonderful. I wanted so badly to rate it a 5 star. However, I have one little concern. Sometimes if I'm typing in a document, it will glitch and there will be lines across the screen. Other than that, perfect laptop for anyone in college! I love it!

When I purchased this it was India winner of more of the premium Chromebooks that were out there. Fit and finish was excellent, specs at the time where descent. The ability to put it in tent mode me and using it for watching chose a bit easier.

I have to say, this has to be one of the most beautiful machines I have ever used, top notch quality and materials. And for those who are not sure if a Chromebook is for them, give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. I definitely recommend.

Great purchase for my wife that needed a laptop for work on the go. Now she doesn't have to sit in her office all day and enjoys the work day more than it just dragging along.

Best Chromebook available bar none. Have tried a few CBs at this point but none have come close to this device. Even though it's not the newest tech, it performs flawlessly. If you can grab it while on sale go for it!

Being a owner of both Windows and Mac laptops I have been sceptical of Chromebooks. When Google came out with the Pixel 2 and ability to install Android applications I made the move. Awesome experience Pixel book is a joy to use.

Great build all around! Battery could be a little better but the fast charge makes up for it. The $250 off makes it a bit easier to justify despite the high price.

the Pixelbook is amazing in so many ways! Pros: - very attractive design - very light weight - very sturdy when switching between modes (laptop, kiosk, tablet) - the keyboard is very comfortable and user friendly. - the touch pad has a very nice feeling to it, and the palm rests are like memory foam and feel nice on the wrist. - one very important advantage is how fast Chrome browser is on the pixelbook compared to Chrome browser on windows laptop with similar specs. - unlike many reviews here, the sound volume and quality are more than enough for the size of this thing. Cons - only the price. i believe Google could make it cheaper and sell more of those but they are choosing to stick to luxury pricing and be selective instead of mainstream.
