Great product for Wifi connectivity problems

He suggested this product for my one-story house. A Geek Squad agent came and installed it, tested it, and I have not experienced any connectivity problems in 3 weeks (a record!). Excellent product and service!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this device because I wanted to be able to prioritize my computer for work over kids streaming, etc, and while it does give you controls to do this temporarily for 2-4 hrs, it drastically slowed my wifi speeds. With my netgear wifi cable modem, I would get between 50-60 Mbps. After I disabled my netgear wifi and plugged in *just* the google router, I was only getting ~9 Mbps. I tried power cycling both devices and still got the same result, so I was pretty disappointed.

We understand how disappointing it can be when your Wi-Fi is not working properly, and we're sorry to hear that you've having issues with your Google Wifi having slow speed. We appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. Slow speed can be caused by several reasons. Here are some reasons that affect the connection:
- Your device is far from your Wifi router or point(s). Often, moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
- Building materials and other objects located between your router and Wifi points or between your Wifi points and mobile devices may slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
- Devices connected on the 2.4 GHz channel may not achieve speeds as fast as the 5 GHz channel.
- Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards. Speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.
- There could be signal interference due to traffic on your Wi-Fi network, on your neighbors' Wi-Fi networks, or from other sources like microwaves or baby monitors.

We were having problems to get the internet connection on each floor and someone from my internet provider company recommended this and ever since we have this have no problem getting the good internet connection. They were so easy to install with the help of google.
