It also puts off enough ambient light to allow me to turn all the lights out in the room without eye strain. It does have a camera that has to mount to the tv which takes some finessing on a thin tv like an oled panel, but that also is what helps this unit stay more affordable. What else helped me choose this unit is being able to have sync lights and keep my video game consoles connected directly to the tv without adding a pass through box into the setup. It does ask you to place adhesive squares on the screen to calibrate, but a youtube search for govee calibration will produce a video that adds the calibration sqaures on the screen instead of using the squares included in the package.
